So Fresh and Clean

Dona brand shave gel is made for just that, shaving. So far it only comes in Acai and Goji Berry "flavors", but hopefully we'll see it in others soon. This gel should work for anyone- male or female, beginners or advanced users. You can use this for special occasions, but with a 9.5 oz. bottle that only costs $1.05 per ounce, it is also fine to be used everytime that you shave. This shave gel does contain glycerin, although according to Dona Reps, it is vegetable based so isn't likely to cause any reaction. In all things use caution, only you know your body and if you think there might be a reaction, test a small amount on your skin before using this all over.

As with the other products in the Dona line, there are no phthalates, no triclosan and it is parabens free.

This shave gel feels pretty similar to other shave gels, it has a creamy texture and it is not too thin, although it wouldn't be classified as thick by most people's standards. It has a cloudy look to the gel, that one would almost call milky. It was very easy for this reviewer to pour, although it took about a minute to figure out how the bottle opened. In large amounts it has a tendancy to run, but most people don't just let shave gel sit on their skin without rubbing it in. When it isn't rubbed in it can feel a little sticky on your fingers, but as soon as it is rubbed in the stickiness goes away.

The gel has a citrusy smell that isn't very strong to this reviewer's nose. The aroma gets stronger when it is rubbed in, although in the bottle it is very easily smelled as soon as you open it. It is one of those scents that you know you have surely smelled it before but it is very hard for you to place where it was. It is not recommended to taste this product since it is manufactured to be used on the outside of your body not the inside. It does smell very tasty and some of these scents have made my mouth water just by opening the package.

As with any other shave gel it does need to be rinsed off with water. Using just a quarter-sized amount was enough to cover both of my legs. What was best about this product was how easy my razor glided over my skin. It only took half the time that it normally does for me to shave both legs. While the smell only lasts a little while after rinsing it off, when it was used with other products from this line, the smell stays for a longer amount of time. The best thing about this product was how easy it was to use and how easy the clean up was afterwards. The only drawback was that the smell only lasted between 30 minutes to an hour.

The shave gel arrived tied in a plastic bag to prevent any spilling but seemed unnecessary since no leakage has been noted since opening the product. There are user instructions printed on the back of the bottle. The packaging has a lovely blue lace with white writing. It is very discreet, at least if you don't notice the word aphrodisiac written on the bottle.

This product line is supposed to increase sexual feelings because of the aphrodisiacs present in each product. This reviewer hasn't had any increased sexual feelings but can attest to being more relaxed after using many of the products in this line.

I am very impressed overall with this entire line of products. While all of the scents don't appeal to me, they are very well made. I have not used a shave gel that made my legs as soft as when I used this one. I even used less than I normally would have to use with other shaving products. It goes on smoothly and the razor just glided across my skin. It was so quick, I checked my legs two times just to make sure I didn't nick myself. While I wish that the smell lasted longer, I feel that it is comparable with other shaving gels I have used. Normally the smell doesn't last even a few minutes after I have rinsed it off.
