The Probe Thick and Rich lubricant, is primarily considered to be an anal lubrication. It does not have any fancy enhancers such as warming or cooling. It is tasteless, so it can be used to enhance oral sex, and it can also enhance vaginal sex. I don't recommend it for hand jobs or massage though. If it is exposed to air after a couple seconds, it dries up. However, one really cool feature about it, is that if it does dry up, put a couple drops of water on the lubricant and it starts working as it initially does. However, that doesn't last long so it's best used for actual penetration. It is water based, so it works well with condoms. It does not indicate on the bottle whether it is hypoallergenic or not, but I have reactions to things that are not hypoallergenic, and I did not have a reaction to this, so it seems pretty safe. There are only 4 ingredients in the entire product. It does contain grapefruit seed extract, but whether that causes a skin reaction, I'm not sure.

When it comes to being an anal lubricant, it works really well with toys. However, if you're trying anal for the first time, without any stretching, it will still hurt. Going from smaller circumference toys, to a penis sized toy does not work. It is a gradual process and I would suggest increasing toy size gradually for an optimal anal experience.

The texture is different when first getting it out of the bottle. It strings up as syrup does when first pouring it out of a bottle, which can cause a mess. It dries up after a while if not used for penetration, but it does stay in place. The best way to describe how it feels is natural lubrication. It is easy to pour, but not easy to keep in the bottle. I usually end up with more than what I actually wanted when pouring it out. A little bit does go a long way with this product.

This product has no smell at all. It has a very, very faint taste, so it would work really well for oral sex if you prefer your lubricants to not have a taste.

When using this product for penetration, it lasts a while. For hand jobs, it only lasts a minute tops. To revive the lubrication, you can drop a couple drops of water over it, but even after doing that it only lasts a minute. If you use too much water, it does weaken. To wash it off, just use soap and water. I really like that it was easy to use anally with toys. I was still expecting it to hurt, and surprisingly, it didn't. However, I don't like that it doesn't hold up well for hand jobs. That takes some points away for versatility. When using this with toys, it didn't cause any damage to the toys, and was easy to clean off with soap and water. The toys I used were plastic, so I don't know how it holds up with toys of other materials. When using it for penetration, I only had to apply it once, which is a plus.

The product comes in a white 8.5 ounce bottle, but is also available in a 17 ounce bottle. There were instructions on the bottle. It is as discreet as a lubricant bottle can be. It is called a "personal lubricant," which can be interpreted many different ways I guess. It looks like a regular shampoo bottle, so it could be used while traveling.
