The big end - butt plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by KrissyNovacaine

This is a rather large plug from Doc Johnson. It is most assuredly not a toy for beginners unless they are very experienced with anal sex. On the other hand it is a great shape that makes training for larger sizes much easier. It's made of silicone which makes it very hygienic and easy to care for. It's basically an anal toy, but it could be used vaginally as well. I had no interest in trying it this way, so this review will only be focused on its use as a plug.

This is made from a silky, firm silicone. It has no odor or taste to it at all. It doesn't have any texture, but the silicone does have a bit of drag to it which goes away with lubricant. There is nothing here that is jarring at all when it comes to the texture which I really enjoyed because I was trying a larger size for the first time. Additional textures could have made using this impossible. I love the feel of silicone toys, and this one didn't disappoint.

This toy's weakness and strength both reside in this category. The toy is a fantastic shape for insertion with a thin spaded shape. It is gradual with no bumps or other textures, so it slowly works up to its widest point right before the neck which is 5.5" in circumference. The toy is 5.5" long in total with 4.75" of that being insertable.

The neck of The Big End is .75" in diameter. It is really nice because the toy doesn't slid out or shift really at all. The neck is thin enough that it is comfortable for longer wear but still large enough to feel a little stretched.

The thing I hated about this toy was the base. It is advertised as a rectangular base, and to be fair, it is rectangular, but it is really thick and wide. It made it a little uncomfortable for longer wear. I understand the safety concerns about having a base, but I am not sure it needed to be quite so thick.

This is not an easy size to take for a beginner. I would have run in fear a few months ago of a toy this size, but the shape works really well for those that are trying to take new sizes.

This has no vibrating or electronic parts. it is simply solid silicone.

I have been trying to work up to larger sizes of toys, so this was a bit of a challenge for me. The shape and silky silicone made it much easier to take then other toys in the size range. Everything was gradual about this which was perfect.

This is made of silicone, so it requires a bit of extra work. Silicone cannot be used with silicone lubes or stored next to other silicone toys. On the other hand, cleaning is awesomely easy. You can clean it with toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water, or you can sterilize it by boiling, the top rack of your dishwasher, or a 10% bleach solution.

This was packaged in the typical clear plastic clam shell like most sex toys. It is plastered with advertisements, and you can clearly see the toy, so I would never call this discreet. It isn't good for storage either, so it ended up in the trash.

While this doesn't quite work for me during sex, I have to say I was super proud that I could take a toy this size. It was a challenge that I was happy to overcome.

We did try using this during sex, and my partner told me that it made me too tight for comfort. He prefers smaller plugs for use during intercourse, and on that count, I have to agree with him. I felt uncomfortable using it during sex because everything was too tight just like he said.

During foreplay, this is great. I feel so full.
