I bought the Swell for a number of reasons. First was my love of glass toys. Next was the wave design which I knew I was fond of from similar glass toys I own. Last but not least was the color! This is my first time seeing a black glass toy and I absolutely love it! The only downside to the color is that looking at it without touching it, one might assume that it was smooth silicone and not glass. That's not much of a downside in my book however because you will be pleasantly surprised once you get this toy in your hands.

As with all glass toys, they are a bit cool to the touch when first using them, if they are not warmed up before hand. This is not a big problem because it provides a nice sensation and sample of temperature play. The toy can be heated up in hot water, or cooled down by sticking it in the freezer if desired. One of the first things you may notice about this toy (other than how pretty it is) is how heavy it is for its size. While about 8 inches long, the toy feels like it should be twice as long because of its weight. In fact, I have another glass toy that's has a similar wavy design and is about 10 inches long, and the Swell is significantly heavier! That being said, I did notice that my hand/wrist was fatigued a bit more than usual after using the toy for a short time (under 15 minutes). It's not something that will make me stop using the toy, just something I'll have to get used to.

This toy is very well made and has a great shape and design, smooth feel and great color. The tapered shape of the toy makes it great for beginners and "experts" alike, and the waves feel amazing without being too overwhelming. Also since the size is tapered, this toy is great for those who may not like very thick toys. If you do prefer a little more thickness however, you can get it by simply inserting the toy deeper. One thing to note is that the toy does not have a tapered base, so I would not recommend it for anal use. It's super easy to clean with soap and water or the toy cleaner of your choice. Also, since it's glass there is no smell, taste, or risk of allergic reactions from the material. Plus you can use water or silicone based lubes without worrying about damaging the toy.

Overall this toy is GREAT! It's easily become one of my favorites. The fact that it was a "Sasha Grey signature" toy really didn't make a difference to me. I would have ordered the toy even if it was a "no name". I would probably be just as satisfied too! This toy is definitely a toy I have and will continue to recommend to my friends.
