Vamp - realistic strap-on dildo discontinued by Tantus - review by Falsepast

The Vamp is a gorgeous color, a great size, has a big wonderful head, and it feels great! I love everything about this toy...except how hard it is. It is VERY hard and depending on the way you use it, as I found out, it may even be a bit painful!

Look: The Vamp is a really beautiful "ivory pearl" color that has a light sparkle to it, mimicking the skin of Twilight vampires. There are some veins along the shaft, which adds to the realistic appearance. One thing everyone should note is that this dildo comes with a HUGE head. I personally love the way it looks on this gorgeous dildo. At the bottom of the Vamp is a flat hard area wide enough to make this an anal safe toy and, I suppose, allows for harness play.

Feel: When I first put the Vamp in, I noticed that the huge head seemed to open me up enough so that the rest of the dildo feels very easy. The big head is great for rubbing up against the P-spot because it's so big, and feels great when thrusting. However, it can be a bit painful for some due to how firm and hard it is. Personally, I did not experience this problem, but it is something worth making a note of. I did, however, experience some pain and discomfort when sitting on it and attempting to bounce up and down on it while I had it on my bed. I blame the firmness of the dildo for this small issue. I tried squeezing it and it has only the slightest hint of being squishy. Overall, the dildo feels great taking it bent over, or while lying on your side, but apparently it's not designed for sitting and bouncing on.

Smell/Taste/Sound: I didn't put the Vamp in my mouth due to how hard it was. I imagine it would be painful if I accidentally hit it on my tooth while attempting to deep-throat it. The dildo doesn't have any notable or troublesome smell to it, and I didn't notice any sounds while it was in use.

Lube/Cleaning: I use water-based lube on the Vamp since it is a silicone toy. Some may see this being silicone as a disadvantage since you should only use water-based lube, but the advantages of silicone are too great to ignore! The Vamp is not porous at all, it has a long life, and it can be entirely disinfected by putting it in boiling water for 3 minutes. I personally just use soap and water to clean it often along with disinfectant wipes and spray until I can find the time to be alone and boil it.

Size: I love the Vamp's wonderful size, not too big or too small. It's a nice 6 3/4 inches (6 1/4 are insertable) by 1 1/12 inches in diameter. I wouldn't say the size is perfect for me, but it is very nice and I like that I don't have to warm up for a very long time like I do with the thicker dildos.

Packaging/Storage: The Vamp comes in a very simple, standard plastic box. If you've ever owned a Tantus product, you know what it looks like. It is a plastic box with writing on it about Tantus silicone and because it is clear, the Vamp is in plain view for all to see, so hide the box from people who you don't want knowing you use those sorts of things. As far as storage goes, I just suggest you keep the box it comes in and store the toy in there, because it is perfect for storage.

The Vamp doesn't get a lot of use, but I still like him and definitely don't regret the purchase. He is a wonderful edition to my toy box, he's just a little too firm and hard. Had it not been for that he'd probably have gotten a 5/5.
