Amethyst - double-ended glass dildo by EdenFantasys - review by Neotigress

I got this toy on a lark as it filled niche in my toy collection and it was on an amazing holiday sale at Eden Fantasys. I would scream from the rooftops how amazing the Amethyst is in so so many ways. It's a pleasure to hold from an artistic standpoint while you apply your favorite lube. The shape, length and contours fit my body so perfectly in a multitude of uses and ways; G-spot, vaginally, and anally.

Additionally, I have pretty formidable pelvic floor muscles and the more excited I get the more I push toys out of my vaginal, which is really irritating. This lovely work of art stays put while I'm getting busy with multiple erogenous zones. On the longer end of the Amethyst there are 3 bumps and then a ridge. That ridge holds it right where I want it to stay until I move it. I have a fairly long vagina and this isn't long enough to hit my cervix, but for those who are shorter, be careful not to bruise your cervix as this is glass and does not give at all.

The other end is shorter and curved just right for G-spot manipulation or to be used as a small anal probe or P-Spot stimulator. In addition to these possibilities you can also add some temperature play to the mix, but leaving this in the refrigerator or heating it in warm water. (be careful not to freeze it, or get it too hot or you can cause serious injury).

The Amethyst is made of borosilicate glass, which is non-porous, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, latex-free, phthalate-free and has a safety rating of 10. There is no smell or taste and it is hard glass and utterly smooth with a very pleasing g-spot curve on one end and a dildo end with 3 textured ridges and one small flange/ridge.

I am really texture sensitive, but the nature of the glass and the gentle ridges didn't bother me. Because it was such smooth glass and took lube so nicely I didn't have any issues on this score, which was unusual in my experience.

The glass is easy to clean and sterilize. I do pay special attention to the creases between the bumps. Because of the material's easy care and cleaning this would be a great beginner toy, and because of it's unique shaping and multitude of options and uses, it is also a fabulous toy for the more experienced.

And Being made of borosilicate glass (Pyrex), it is specifically designed to be shatter resistent and made to withstand temperature changes. So there is no worry it will shatter when you're using it.

The design of this toy is simply brilliant for its versatility for both male and female anatomy. The short curved end is perfectly shaped for g-spot and p-spot stimulation and the modestly sized flanged end will also be delightful for beginner anal play.

The longer end with its bumps and small flange are very stimulating for vaginal manipulation and this too is interesting for light anal play.

The curve is more gentle than some of similar toys from other manufacturers. Closer to a 45 degree angle than 90 degrees. I felt that this gave me more control over how much pressure to apply while performing g-spot manipulation and it is also what made it so perfect for my anatomy when using the long end as a dildo and the short end for clitoral stimulation.

The glass works very well with my silicone based lubes. I did have to pay just a little more attention to the valleys between the bumps and ridges when cleaning.

While this is travel safe and would pack easily, due to its complex size, this wouldn't be my first choice for a travel buddy; however for storage, I just drop it into my toy box without any worries regarding its material or what it's next to in the toy box.

This toy fit my body perfectly for multiple erogenous stimulation. With the shaft end inside of me, the shorter g-spot bulb hit my clit and stayed inserted inside of my vagina no matter how much my pelvic floor muscles contracted with pleasure. And due to the unique shaping, ergonomic design and being made of glass, my imagination is still coming up with ways to use the Amethyst.

I have a VERY deep vagina and my g-spot is in about 3" approximately. With the gentle angle on the elbow it was the right shape and size to stimulate me. The bulbous end is also not quite as pointy as others which was an advantage for me. Having fibromyalgia, I'm the ultimate "Princess and the Pea" and am sensitive to any sharp edges, seams etc.

I have absolutely no complaints about this toy, but it may not work if you have a very short vagina or if you can't handle bumps or surfaces that don't give at all.

This has been very easy to clean. I tend to hand wash my toys and I've been using silicone lube with it, so it does require soap and water. I do pay attention to the valleys between the ridges when I wash it, but it's simple and straight forward. Because it is glass it is dishwasher safe or fine to boil for sterilization if either of those are your preference.

Due to the nature of the Pyrex/glass material that it's made of, you can safely use any lube that you prefer. Additionally, when using it for body massage you can use any type of massage oil, cream or lotion without fear of any damage to the Amethyst.

Because my toy is made of glass, I don't have to give a thought to what it's next to in the toy box, so I just slip it into its velvet pouch that it came with and toss it in my toy box. (Honestly, I've considered using the really well made pouch to put one of my silicone toys in and tossing my glass in the box as is). The Pyrex is so sturdy I'm not afraid of it breaking at all, as I've already dropped it more than once on my wood floors.

The toy came in a plain cardboard box with no writing what-so-ever, and inside the box it was stored inside it's red velvet drawstring pouch which was wrapped in bubble wrap.

The red velvet pouch is well made with double seams and is a perfect size for the toy to slide in and out nicely without being too large or too tight. There is no built in padding in the pouch but the Amethyst is so sturdy that I don't feel that it's necessary. The pull cord has no knot in it was a nice aesthetic touch. This little pouch is so nicely constructed, I have wished more than once that this company sold the pouch separately, it's such a nice size and made better than some pouches I've purchased just for storage.

The box it came from is completely discreet, but it's brown cardboard, which I tossed. The pouch is discreet, but the dimensions are phallic shaped. If my grandma came over and the pouch was laying out, she'd have no idea what it is, but if any of my peers came over they'd have a good idea just from looking at the dimensions and they would certainly want to touch it to find out what was in the lovely red velvet pouch-game over.

An added bonus for me, is that I have fibromyalgia and with it myofacia issues (Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder. In myofascial pain syndrome, pressure on sensitive points in your muscles [trigger points] causes pain in seemingly unrelated parts of your body. This is called referred pain). This is an amazing tool for self myofacial release and use on hard to reach "trigger points" on my back. The G-spot end with it's curve and the glass being firm are simply heaven on those spots that are causing me severe pain on a bad fibro day.

I have also been warming it by soaking it in hot water and then using while warmed for massage or like a hot water bottle to sooth my hands when they hurt.

Truly with imagination there is no end to the uses for this toy, both in and outside the bedroom.

I have been getting so much pleasure and feeling good from my Amethyst, and because of the versatile shaping I just keep coming up with new ways to use it for my own pleasure. My partner has not been available so I'm currently unable to report experiences from the male point of view (however I'm devising all kinds of ways to use it on him in the mean time).

This toy has gotten me off in so many new ways, and I truly had the most intense climaxes using this that just thinking about it gets me excited all over again.
