Tentacle - dildo discontinued by Whipspider rubberworks - review by Waterfall

After months of looking at this one and then having to wait for it to be back in stock I finally caught the Tentacle. Although I had never had any tentacle fantasies in particular, I just had to try this one. The Tentacle is a very unique silicone dildo made by Whipspider Rubberworks. As the name suggests, it is shaped like a tentacle, with a nice curve, and has suction cups that go up the length of the toy. This combination offers a curve that can stimulate the g-spot and texture for rubbing along the vaginal opening (although it is kind of on the side when close to the tip of the toy) and the clitoris. There is no flared base to make this on 100% safe for anal play, however due to the fact that the base is large, it might be ok if you have a partner holding it for you.

Whipspider Rubberworks has very simple, yet effective packaging. The Tentacle (and all their other toys) comes in a Ziploc style plastic bag with a card about care and a little information about the company. The bag works well for storage.

The Tentacle is made from 100% silicone, a 10 on the safety scale, which means that it can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. It can be boiled or wiped down with a 10% bleach solution if you want to sterilize it and if you want to share it with a partner. Silicone should only be used with water based lubricants or else your toy might break down.
This is my third toy by this company and I really love their soft and squishy silicone. Due to the give and the flexibility it is easier to play hard with this one without injuring yourself. The base seems to be firmer than the tip of the Tentacle, but it is still soft overall.

Because blue is my favorite color, I am really in love with the way this dildo looks. Most of the body is a deep blue with a hint of green to it. There is also some purple swirled in. The suckers on front/side of the toy are very light blue at the bottom and become mostly the white/light green (glow in the dark) color closer to the top. If you leave it out in the light for a good amount of time, then it will glow nice and bright when in the dark.

The back of the Tentacle is completely smooth, but the front and the side have raised suction cups that can easily be felt during play. In addition to having raised rings, the suction cups are also indentations, so you get some interesting stimulation. Although this is a soft material, if you know you don't like texture then these may be uncomfortable for you. I personally found them to be a little bit uncomfortable at first because they are not placed simply on the front. This means that the side of my vaginal opening gets a lot of stimulation, which is something different for me.

In regards to the size, the Tentacle starts off kind of small and then gets larger and larger to give you a great filling experience. The tip starts off at about an inch and then it increases to a maximum diameter of 2.25 inches at the base. In the middle of the toy it stays at a 1.5 inch diameter for a good portion of before reaching the full diameter, so if you don't want to fully insert it and experience the larger diameter, then this is an option. It has a total length of 7 inches, and even though the page lists 6 inches as the insertable length, you could potentially insert all the way up to the base.
I think this one is best for those who have some experience with sex toys because the shape, size and texture may not be something that everyone will enjoy.

For me, the Tentacle works well at stimulating my g-spot and the suckers can also stimulate my clit and vaginal opening at the same time. With each thrust I get stimulation all over the place and I really like this! I have to admit that the first time I used this one I wasn't expecting it to be so intense and it kind of reminded me of the Jellyfish at first because I could feel the texture on the sides so much, not saying that this is a bad thing I like the Jellyfish as well. After the first time I knew what to expect and I was able to enjoy it a lot more. I recommend that you make sure you use enough lube with this one to make the thrusting experience better because the suckers will hold onto the lube, Personally I find that slower thrusting with this one works best for keeping things comfortable yet stimulating.

The one experience with the texture being an issue is definitely not enough to keep me from giving this toy 5 stars! It is a great toy that is well made, fun to look at, and feels really good inside of me.
