Shunga Massage Oil can be used for massages or you can just use it on yourself as a moisturizer. I love that it comes in so many different scents to choose from! If you have really dry skin, especially on your knees and elbows this stuff is amazing! All it takes is a couple of drops and a nice rub down and your skin will be left moisturized and pleasantly scented.

I purchased this for my own personal use as a moisturizer. If you're looking for something romantic and fun to do with your partner a massage is definitely a great idea! I'd suggest lighting some candles and getting comfortable and really taking your time with it. This is the perfect product for couples that need to take some time out for themselves and get more intimate with eachother. I'd highly recommend Shunga Massage Oil to couples or to anyone that would like to use something different than typical moisturizing lotions. This lasts a long longer and it's more moisturizing because it's an oil and your skin will absorb it extremely well!

I have sensitive skin and I'm usually allergic to a lot of products. This doesn't make me itchy at all or cause any redness. I find it to be extremely soothing to my dry skin and it makes me feel really soft.

Shunga Massage Oil is a very thin and drippy oil. It feels oily but it's very slick and smooth. It absorbs into the skin slowly giving you plenty of time for a nice massage. It's not sticky at all! If you rub it between your hands your body heat will warm the oil up quickly before you apply it on yourself or your partner. It doesn't just pour out when you click the cap and tilt it, it requires a gentle squeeze or shake to get the oil out of the bottle. This makes it really easy to use and to control the amount. If you use way too much it will feel oily for quite a while. When I use it on my arms and legs the palms of my hands get too oily and I have to wash my hands. I'm really happy with the texture of the oil because it's exactly what I want it to be. It's not overly greasy or sticky, it's oily and slick and leaves me so soft!

So far I've only tried two different scents.

Sensation-Lavender:
Usually when I think of lavender I think about a floral almost soapy kind of smell. It smells like lavender but it's a little different. It smells really warm and almost woodsy in a way. It smells really good! It's a very relaxing and cozy type of scent.

Desire-Vanilla:
I was expecting something to smell like strong vanilla extract but this smells a lot sweeter. It smells like vanilla sugar cookies! It smells exactly like when you're mixing up all the ingredients in a bowl to make cookies. It's smells really yummy!

This massage oil is not edible and shouldn't be eaten. It probably wouldn't hurt you to lick it but I'm not sure if it tastes bad or not. It isn't meant for that and I don't really want to find out.

The strength of the scent is in the medium range. It's strong enough to smell in the bottle and on your skin but it's not overpowering to me. On your skin it leaves you scented and you can smell it but it's not so strong that it makes your eyes water or anything like that. I guess it ultimately depends on how sensitive you are to scented products.

If you're using the massage oil on your partner it lasts a long time. The oil will absorb eventually but your hands will glide over the skin so softly and smoothly. I'd sure you could easily give a 30 minute massage or longer. The more you use the longer the massage will be. If you use too much you might have to wipe it off with a towel. There's really no need to wash it off unless you've used way too much. It soaks into the skin and leaves you smelling amazing and feeling as soft as rose petals!

I use it on my arms and legs. I use it sparingly because when I use too much it leaves me feeling a little too oily. I have dry skin so it works really well on me. I noticed in the summer my arms would feel dried out and a few drops of this massage oil helped a ton! It also helps a lot on my knees and elbows. My legs can get dried out from shaving and regular lotions don't soak in deep enough or last long enough. This massage oil works a lot better even though it's a little bit messier. It's definitely worth it to me! I love this stuff!

If you wash it off use soap and warm water. If you try to just rinse it off with cold water and no soap it'll be harder to get off! Sometimes if the bottle gets oily you'll need to wash it as well.

When I got my order the plastic bottle was inside of a plastic baggy. Thank goodness because these bottles can get leaky! Thankfully mine didn't leak at all and I ordered in the middle of the summer. If you leave them laying down on their side it will definitely leak a little if the cap isn't on tightly enough so it's best to be stored upright. I wouldn't travel with this because it's just too messy.

The cap is black and has a click top. You can easily open the bottle with one hand. I love that! If it was a cork or a lid you have to twist on and off it wouldn't be as functional and easy to use. I'm glad that they chose this sort of cap for this product!

Shunga's logo on the bottle is of an erotic Japanese couple. It shows a woman's butt and her breast so it's not exactly something you'd leave out for little kids or grandma to find! You could cover it up with a piece of black tape if you needed to or just turn it around. The bottle holds 8 oz. of massage oil which is quite a lot! It only takes a small amount to cover a large area so it will last for a very long time. The back of the bottle is very informative with a description of the scent and a list of ingredients.

Ingredients:
Sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, sesame oil, avocado oil, safflower oil, vitamin E, ylang ylang, fragrance, and a bunch of ingredients that almost sound like made up words! such as... amyl cinnamal, benzyl alcohol, cinnamyl alcohol, citral, eugenol, isoeugenol, benzyl salicylate, coumarin, d-limonene, geraniol, lyral famesol, lilial, linalool, benzyl benzoate,cironellol, hexyl cinnamal, alpha isomethyl lonone.

From my personal experience the Shunga massage oil and the massage oils from Kama Sutra are both very similar. They both absorb very well into the skin, leave you feeling soft, and are both really great products! Shunga scents are sweeter like fruit and candy with a hint of warmth. Kama Sutra massage oils smell more woody/herbal to me. I love both! They are both great so whichever one you choose I'm sure you will be happy with it.

I like to use the massage oil on my arms and legs right before I go to bed. The lavender scent is really relaxing and helps me wind down for the evening. When I wake up in the morning I feel really soft!

I also use it after I shave my legs. I shave my legs in the shower and when I get out my legs desperately need some kind of moisturizer. Shunga massage oil works amazingly well for me! It feels like it soaks in deeper and lasts longer than regular lotions.

I've been using it every night for a while now and my skin looks and feels a lot healthier and softer!
