Body scrub - scrub discontinued by Venus - review by SweetSouthernGirl

I love bath and body products, and I especially love body scrubs. There is nothing that beats the clean feeling after a hot shower and an all over scrub with a great cleanser. I especially like to use scrubs after a long day or a work-out. So when I was shopping the new bath and body products, I picked out a Lavender Body Scrub by Venus. The smell of Lavender is so relaxing, I thought it would be perfect for those relaxing right before bed showers.

The scrub has tiny granules of sea salt to exfoliate your skin, but the cleansing gel works up into a good lather so you can really get the most out of it. The scent fills the bathroom and lingers even after your shower. It isn't a strong, overwhelming scent but a light enjoyable fragrance. My skin felt clean and smooth. It didn't feel dry and I didn't feel the need for lotion aside from the general enjoyment of using body lotion. I don't have dry skin though, so I imagine this will vary from person to person.

With a price point of $14.99, it is comparable in price to brand name cleansers and scrubs, and I believe equally as effective.

Also, I enjoy that this scrub is almost equal parts scrub and cleanser. I appreciate the value of a good thick scrub for my heels, elbows and knees, but I think this mixture is much more practical for an over-all body cleanser.

As a rule I don't prefer screw on caps for cleansers because I tend to drop things in the shower (you're soapy, it's wet) and with the open cap, it's easier to lose product. The only thing I would change is the top. I'd prefer some kind of flip top with a smaller opening for that reason.
