Body scrub - scrub discontinued by Venus - review by laurenrs

Oh my! How am I gonna live without this now? I LOVE this wash/scrub! The fragrance is perfect, and it exfoliates just enough to make my body nice and silky smooth. I loved it so much the first time I tried it out, I used it again just to prolong the experience. This is a great buy.

I ordered mine in the milk scent. In my opinion it smells lightly of sweet almond and coconut. It is definatly tropical, and reminded me of sitting on the beach with a pina colada in hand. The texture is a very mild exfoliant. On the back of the bottle it states, 'Fall in love with Venus body scrub made to buff your skin to its softest.' You may have to buff for a longer amount of time than with a scrub that has larger crystals, but the relaxing scent definatly makes up for it. The wash did not really build up a lather either, but I felt very clean after rubbing this all over my body and rinsing with very warm water.

The ingredients are: dead sea salt,pumice,aqua,tea lauryl sulfate,propylene glycol, and fragrance to name just a few. It also says MAY contain: fd&c yellow5. fd&c yellow 6. red33 and blue 1. I am assuming this give the scrub its sandy, yet milky color.

It is packages in an 8 ounce bottle. It has a black twist off cap, which is the only flaw I really found. When you are wet in the shower twist off caps are a pain. Plus you run the rist of the black cap falling down the drain..or the bottle tipping over and wasting this great product. Besides the bottle, my only complain is that there isn't more product! I have and will continue to suggest this scrub to my friends. I am ordering the pineapple scent next, hopefully I am as impresses with the other scents as well.

I take back what I said about the body scrub not foaming and lathering up as it should. The first shower I took I used my hands to wash and exfoliate, thus not producing much of a lather. I went back for a second shower and used a pouf, and the lather was extremely rich and sudsy. A little does go a long way with this wash, I don't know why the first time I decided to not use my shower pouf, but it definitely works better that way.
