Body scrub - scrub discontinued by Venus - review by Jessica Elizabeth

Well... it's body wash. It washes your body. Actually, it does more than that. The Venus Body Scrub leaves your skin feeling soft, refreshed and does not leave any residual film or scent on the body. We have been using it every time we shower and it works lovely! It suds up nicely, it exfoliates and really does clean the body well, even after a hard day's work. It also rinses off nicely, which I find to be one of the most important things about body wash. (Nothing worse than spending more time rinsing than anything else!)

The Venus Body Scrub is not quite as thick as it could be, thus it can come out of the bottle faster than one is prepared for. However, I haven't noticed that this last of thickness negatively affecting how it works.

The exfoliating beads are pretty small, but I think this works in the soaps favor. One thing though, is that if you are sharing your shower with your partner, the exfoliating beads really seems to have only one use; so you will want to portion out the soap, use it on person one then re-pour the soap for person two. Dispensing two portions of soap at once will leave person two with very little exfoliation in the soap.

The scent I have is cucumber melon. The scent is mild though good smelling and does not seem to really envelop the bathroom or anything when using it. It also does not really stay on the skin, so if you like to powder or lotion after bathing, you can do so without mixing scents.

This body wash is not edible.

We're finding that a little goes a long way with this soap. You don't need to use a lot in one washing, thus it will last a good while.

Aside from the previously mentioned exfoliating beads not lasting through two people, there are no performance worries about the Venus Body Scrub. I am particularly impressed with how well it rinses off. You are left with smooth and clean skin that bears no traces of the soap.

The only really note-worthy thing about the packaging is that it does not have a dispenser style top. You just screw off the lid and pour it out; it would have been nice to have a pump dispenser or the lid where you push down on one side and dispense out of the other. It's a pretty minor irritation though.

I really like this scrub. I am planning on getting other scents it performs so well.
