Dona massage candle - body massage candle discontinued by System JO - review by LoveX

I was so impressed with this massage candle! Everything about it is wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interesting in massage candles. We lit ours last night and let it burn for about 30 minutes before using it. I got the blue lotus scent, and it was wonderful. It was not an overpowering scent, but you could smell it in the room it was lit in.

This candle is paraben fee, petroleum derivative free, and all natural. I think anyone could use this candle without issues. You can use this candle to relax and get a great, warm massage, or you can give your partner one! The wax does heat up, but it doesn't get hot enough to burn your skin. The heat of it feels great being poured on your skin, and the smell is intoxicatingly wonderful.

Before the candle is lit it just feels like a regular candle, but slightly oily. The melted wax feels wonderful though. A little goes a long way with this stuff, we went overboard the first time with the amount we used. It's slick and oily, but absorbs into skin leaving a wonderful silky feel.

This candle is not edible, so I do not advise tasting it. The smell, however, is amazing, I really love it. I'm going to do some checking and see if Dona has any other blue lotus scented products. It is a smell of its own, I've never smelled anything else like this candle. It's a very fresh and floral scent, but not like usual floral smells. I don't like floral scented things usually, but this candle is an exception.

The oil produced from this candle was long lasting, and felt amazing. I didn't have to wash any off, it soaked in as well as most lotions do. There was a slight oily residue, but it didn't last long. I love the way the oil felt warm and after it was worked in with a great massage. This candle really is great!

The candle comes in a cute tin can with a reusable lid. There are no instructions on the container, but I trimmed the wick a little on mine (to about a 1/4-1/8 inch). I also made sure to blow the flame out before using the wax just to be safe.

This candle smells great, and works wonderfully. I would recommend it to anyone, even if you just use it as a regular candle.
