JO H2O flavored lubricant - flavored lube by System JO - review by KT Pinto

There are times when I'd like to use a toy, but am too tired or frazzled to create enough natural lube to use the toy properly, so I decided to purchase some lube to help at these times.

Since many of my toys are silicone, I decided to buy some water-based lube (silicone lube should not be used with silicone toys!). I have tried various water-based lubes before, but I had never tried one with flavoring.

I chose the Jo flavored lube mainly because of the sleek style of the bottle and the bright coloring of the different flavors. I chose the chocolate flavor because, well, it's chocolate! How could I resist chocolate?



I put a little bit of lube on my finger to taste. The chocolate flavor was wonderful. There was no aftertaste and - although it wouldn't compare to Godiva - it was like eating a piece of chocolate bar (the flavor wasn't a big deal in this instance, as I was by myself, but I needed to know the flavoring in case it was to be used with a playmate at a later date).

So far, so good.

I put some on the shaft of my toy and on my body. My vagina was coated easily, and the toy easily slid in. The lube gave off a comforting chocolate smell and was rather pleasant... for a little while.

Then it happened. The bottle say "Never Sticky", and sadly that's not true. Like all water-based lubes, after a while, the stickiness occurred.

In case I wasn't sure of this, at one point I accidentally spilled some on my stomach. I forgot that it's not as thick as silicone and squeezed the bottle a little too hard. It became a sticky mess. It was easy to clean up (soap and water or a baby wipe in a pinch), but it proved that the "Never Sticky" claim was untrue.

This doesn't make it a bad item. Water-based lubes are sticky. Would I use it for sexual encounters? Nope, that's what silicone lube is for. But for toys, the chocolate smell and taste make for yummy fun.

I just have to make sure not to spill it on me again...
