Satin and lace corset with hook and eye closure - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by quietmom

The deep green satin of this corset is gorgeous - a rich color designed to make any woman feel classically seductive. The satin belt and laces on the back give it a look of class and decadence often lacking in pieces that use the cheaper "shoelace" type strings for lacing. The ribbons tie in the center of the back and are looped in such a way that you can't accidentally remove them from the holes. (Klutzes and the uncoordinated rejoice!) The front closure hook and eyes make for easy on/off after the initial adjustment of the laces. I highly advise trying it on and adjusting sometime before you plan to use it. This will save you time and mood killing frustration later. (More on that later)

The grater straps are detachable and arrive in a small bag attached to the corset. They looked simple enough to attach, though I never got around to trying. The corset itself arrives in a plastic bag, no hangers or fancy packaging here. This is not an issue for me, as I am more apt to hide such an item then hang it up thanks to having nosy children in the house, but if you have the space and freedom to do so you may want to find a better way to store it. The boning is fabulous for shaping, but it does mean you cannot fold it in half, so roll gently or find a way to hang.

Beautiful corset, and I'm sure it would've made a great addition to our trip, but the sizing runs small. I am a 12, sometimes 14 in US sizes. I ordered a Large, which according to their sizing chart should be exactly my size. Even unlaced to it's furthest the sides would not meet in the front. Thank goodness I checked it before taking off for the weekend! It's a beautiful piece, looked very well put together, but if it won't fit then none of that matters. I would advise going up at least one size above your most generous estimate.
