My vagina is a gymnast!

The Cleo is an interesting vibrator, that's for sure. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. She's intended to be used in the shower but that didn't work out so well for me. Because of her shape and the design of my shower, I just couldn't find a way to use her in my shower. However, I do enjoy using her out of the shower as a good warm up vibrator.

Use

The Cleo is an interesting little body massager from ONO. Designed specifically for the bath or shower, she is intended to be your favorite bath time companion. Her design makes her ideal for those who love to straddle and hump stationary items. The double sided suction cup holds her on your shower wall, bathtub floor, bathtub edge, or any other hard, non-textured surface in your house. I personally love to stick on her a kitchen chair and straddle her that way. The double sided suction cup can also be removed and you can use Cleo without the cumbersome suction cup getting in the way.

Cleo has a travel lock so she can be throw in a bag without any fear of it turning on and giving your luggage a massage. It’s also discreet in the sense that it looks nothing like a traditional sex toy. If you took this through a TSA checkpoint, I’m sure an agent would have absolutely no idea what that odd shaped blob in your bag is. Oh, if only they knew...

Material / Texture

Cleo is made of plastic covered in some of the softest silicone I’ve ever felt. I really just want to rub the silicone all day long. It’s so buttery smooth. Unlike other silicone I’ve used, there is very, very little drag with this silicone. ONO is owned by Lelo but I do not know if they use the same silicone. I only have one Lelo product, the Luna Beads, and the silicone on the harness does feel similar to the silicone of the Cleo. Aside from feeling amazing, silicone is body safe so it makes an excellent material for sex toys. It’s non porous, hypoallergenic, latex free, and phthalate free. The plastic underneath the silicone makes the entire toy rigid and unyielding. Even in the rises of Cleo, there is no give.

Design / Shape / Size

Cleo is an odd one, that’s for sure. It looks like a deformed pommel horse on a UFO. That’s not a description I use every day. First, she sits on a removable double-sided suction cup. It’s almost like a platter for this little vibrator. This suction cup is amazingly strong and will hold during use. However, she will slide around in use if you put too much weight and pressure on it. Under the suction cup is the battery cap. It’s the size of the entire base and it screws on/off. There is no plastic O-ring to prevent water from seeping into the battery compartment so it’s important to make sure this is screwed on TIGHT. Just above the battery cap is the start of the silicone body. The body is a round dome. At the height of this dome is two rises that look like a deformed pommel horse. One rise is higher than the other. The rises are rounded and have gentle edges so they don’t poke you in use.
Cleo can be hard to explain so here are some pictures.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Cleo is powered by three AA batteries. Her vibrations range from a rumbly 2 vrooms up to a 4 vrooms that fall somewhere between buzzy and rumbly. At her highest setting, shes about 2.5 bees. She’s powered by two buttons that sit on the body of the vibrator just below the shorter rise. The buttons are inside the “O”s of the company’s name, ONO. One “O” has a “+” in it while the other has a “-” in it. Pressing the “+” once will start the Cleo on her lowest steady setting. Holding the “+” will cause her to cycle upwards through her five power settings. Holding down the “-” will decrease the intensity until it eventually shuts off. You have to cycle down through the settings to shut off Cleo. To access the seven patterns, you hold the “+” for two seconds once you have reached the maximum power level. There are lights underneath the silicone skin that will illuminate when you have reached the patterns. The first pattern is a slow pulse. The second is a faster pulse. The third is yet again a pulse, just much faster. The fourth is a rollercoaster pattern. The fifth is the same rollercoaster but much slower. The sixth pattern is a slow rev up followed by five short pulses. The seventh and final pattern seems to be pretty random to me. It’s a mix of revs, pulses, and steady vibration. When you’re in the patterns, hitting “-” will take you back to steady vibrations. To lock Cleo, you press and hold both the “+” and the “-” for five seconds. The lights will illuminate while you hold the button and will shut off when she is locked. Unlocking is exactly the same process.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

Because Cleo is made of silicone and plastic, she can’t be boiled like pure silicone toys can be. I would recommend using mild soap and water or toy cleaner to clean Cleo regularly. Cleaning her is easy if you’re already in the shower. If you do use Cleo in the shower, be sure to check the battery compartment to check for any water. If you see water in the battery compartment, dry it out immediately and let it dry before using it again.

Cleo can be a bit difficult to store because of her odd shape. If you live alone or with others who aren’t shy about toys, you can leave Cleo in the shower. You can also keep her in a bathroom cupboard for easy access. If you’re roommates aren’t so open, you can keep Cleo in a dresser drawer, toy box, or anywhere else you store your toys. If you have a small storage method, Cleo may not fit. I would recommend keeping Cleo in a plastic bag or toy pouch to minimize the amount of lint she attracts between uses.

Experience

I had been lusting after Cleo for a very long time. When I saw she on clearance for 50% off, I snagged it so fast. I couldn’t let this odd little pommel horse get away from me. I’ve had Cleo for a few months now but this review has been so difficult for me to write because she’s so unique and hard to explain. I was drawn to her bright orange color and the fact that she was marketed as a shower vibrator. I personally love using vibrators in the shower so she seemed perfect. When I first got her, I was so excited I went and took a shower as soon as I could get my box open. I stuck her on my shower wall and waited until I had finished washing myself to try her out. Finally, the time had come for me to try my beloved Cleo. First, I stuck her to the back wall of my shower and tried to bend over and use Cleo from behind. In this position, I found that I had a hard time getting it at the right height. Once I did, it was hard to stimulate my clit. I wanted to put pressure on Cleo but with her stuck to the shower wall, any time I would put weight on her, she would slide down the shower wall. So next, I turned around and tried to face the shower wall. The way my shower is designed, I couldn’t get close enough to the back wall without standing on the sloped part of the wall. That’s just plain dangerous and I’m already a klutz so that position was out of the question. I could just see myself falling down and having to explain to people how I got my latest concussion. I was determined to not be defeated so I stuck her on my shower floor and tried to straddle her. Nope, my shower was too narrow and I couldn’t get low enough if I stayed on my knees. Stupid shower walls. Just plain sitting on Cleo with my legs out in front of me hurt because she is hard plastic and it felt like...well...sitting on a blob of hard plastic. Cleo just would not cooperate with my small shower. Once we moved, I finally had a shower that did not have a sliding glass door so I can place her on the side of my bathtub and straddle her comfortably. If you want to use Cleo in the shower, it will really depend on the design of your shower or bath tub.

Out of the shower, I set her on my bed sans the suction cup. On a soft surface, she’s easy to straddle and ride. She also works well when I stick her to a hard surface like a kitchen chair. If it’s the right height, I can stand with my legs on the floor and straddle Cleo. This way, I’m not putting all my weight on Cleo, which is a lot less painful. However, her size can make her a little awkward. I’m going to be honest...I have big thighs. In some positions, her round base is really uncomfortable because the base rests between my thighs. If I had some more space between my thighs, it wouldn’t be such a problem but for now...ouch. Having a hard plastic base dig into my thighs really kills the mood.

My favorite and, in my opinion, the best way to use Cleo is as a light tease when you’re sitting down. I generally sit cross legged on my couch or bed when I’m watching TV or using my laptop. Sitting cross legged, Cleo fits perfectly under my pelvis and stimulates my entire vulva. Because most of my weight is on my legs and my sitz bones, my weight isn’t being held up by Cleo. Yay for no hard plastic being pushed into my vulva! It’s easy to turn her on and go about my business. This is great if I’m just starting to get aroused. Cleo doesn’t get me off like this but it definitely works as a good warm up.

Overall, I like Cleo but I don’t love her. She’s definitely not a very versatile vibrator. She was designed for a specific use and doesn’t work well other ways. I can’t fault the toy too much for her futility in my shower since that is largely dependent on the design of my shower. But I have a pretty standard shower. I do wish that she were rechargable and had slightly stronger vibrations. If rises were a little higher or if the base was a little bit more narrow, her shape would have worked much better with my anatomy. However, she’s really good for a warm up vibrator when you’re sitting around. I also prefer pinpoint stimulation but Cleo quite obviously provides pretty broad stimulation. This means her vibrations are diffused a lot. Some people enjoy this a lot. I'm not one of those people. I wouldn’t recommend Cleo for the original price of $80 but on sale, she can be a good addition to any toy collectors toy box. She’s unlike anything else and may be worth it to some people for the novelty factor alone.

Great review! All of your details really capture the pros and cons of this toy. It sucks that though designed for the shower, there is no O ring? I like your description "It looks like a deformed pommel horse on a UFO."

What a unique toy! Loved your descriptions but I think I'll pass on this one. It doesn't sound very practical, though the novelty is nice.

great review. I've never been able to understand how this odd looking vibe is to be used until reading your review - thanks.

Your descriptions are dead on & I appreciated the effort you applied in trying to use this. Thanks for another great review! I'm glad you got this on sale, at least, it's sometimes such a gamble with unusual toys - they may not work for you, or they may be the best discovery ever. I guess that's what keeps us coming back for more.
