The MiMi is designed for clitoral use by female bodied people; but thanks to its broad and round-edged shape, it can be used for many other pleasurable purposes. It would be suited to vibrate over the nipples, perineum, testes, the penis, or any other erogenous zone just as efficiently.

Both individuals and couples can use the MiMi, but due to its design, it would require holding to an area during intercourse, making it a tad awkward. It would, actually, make an excellent aide during oral sex. Held to the clitoris of a female partner, the balls or perineum of a male partner, or against the anus of either sex would increase the experience nicely. But it can't be inserted, as MiMi's lack of a flared base would lead to an interesting hospital visit. Another possible use could be holding it against one's cheek while giving a blowjob, rimming or cunnilingus, to send vibrations through the mouth and face.

In theory, MiMi could be vaginally inserted, but I couldn't get much pleasure from it this way. It's a very small toy and while it works at teasing the vaginal opening, anyone who requires vaginal or g-spot stimulation should partner the MiMi with a dildo. The MiMi should never be inserted anally.

The MiMi is made of lightly velvety silicone, so it's ideal for people who prefer a smooth toy and disappointing for those who require texture to be stimulated. I think that its softness would make it perfect for beginners (and, in its description, it does tout itself as a beginner toy) but also can endear it to those with an impressively expansive toy collection. The surface creates a subtle amount of drag around the area to which MiMi is applied, which is nice; for most individuals it would require little to no lube to be comfortable.

As MiMi is silicone, DO NOT use silicone based lube. That is all. Water based lubes only.

If you share MiMi with a partner, you can wash her in between uses to sterilize, or use a condom over the tip. The vibrations of most settings still transfer well through a barrier.

It has no odor save for when held very close to my nose, and it smells, oddly, a bit like a new car. It's not unpleasant though, and it doesn't fill me with the fear that some strange foreign substance is going to rub off onto my sensitive bits.

MiMi fit naturally in the palm of my hand, and was easy to tilt, turn, and point to nestle against my clitoris and labia. The vibrations transferred well throughout the toy during use, but due to the lack of a handle, my hands did fall numb after awhile on the highest setting. Still, this didn't detract much from the toy experience, and when my hands became uncomfortable, I found that I was able to hold the toy with my thighs.

The ability to use it hands-free for clitoral stimulation was, actually, a very big surprise for me. I have scrawny legs and this makes it difficult for me to keep toys in place with them through activities such as watching porn or reading erotica. MiMi's light amount of drag came in handy though, as it prevented the toy from slipping out of place even a fraction of an inch, without me having to overexert my legs pressing them together. Although this is a problem that most people don't face, I think that it is a major plus of the toy for people with very thin or wide set apart thighs.

MiMi's buttons are a less positive story for me. There are two round, simple + and - buttons, flush with the base that double as charging ports. They aren't extremely difficult to push, but they are hard enough that it's frustrating and takes a fair bit of effort. It is difficult, especially at first, to change the vibrations up without looking. My toy is relatively new, so the buttons might ease up over time and become less hard to deal with. I'll try to touch on them again in any follow-up reviews I create.

Charging MiMi is easy and intuitive: two magnetic clips on the charger connect to the toy's base and hold it in place. My only complaint is that the magnets aren't impressively strong, so when placing the toy on a surface higher than the electrical outlet it's connected to, there might be slippage and consequentially an incomplete charge. I would rather have to work my elbows a bit pulling the toy from its charger than not being sure it was connected properly. The MiMi does remedy this flaw a bit through its light-up feature; the heart above the JeJoue insignia on the top of the toy glows red when it's charging.

MiMi's vibrations are concentrated at the smaller, more pointed end, but transfer throughout the entirety of the toy. The vibrations are hard to describe, they are sort of a mix between rumbly and buzzy. They whine slightly when held with no pressure, but are next to silent when pressed against the body. Used under a blanket, or in a bath or shower would be undetectable outside of the bedroom/bathroom. I feel that the four vroom, two bee description most frequently given to this toy is accurate.

MiMi features ten sets of vibrations. They are cycled through by pressing the buttons, and go from weakest to strongest. The + button goes forward a function, the - goes back.

To turn the MiMi on, hold the + button for a few seconds, and to turn the MiMi off, hold the - button for a few seconds. This can be a bit of a task when on the highest setting, so initially I had to cycle down through vibrations first to make the toy easier to handle. This became easier over time. The lack of a quick off button is definitely a negative for people in shared living situations.

MiMi's controls, as stated before, are difficult. They are an overcomeable difficulty, and not something I would put this toy in my list of "wasted money" over. But in my opinion, they are the toy's greatest downside.

The MiMi can be washed with warm, soapy water or water based toy cleaner. As the toy isn't to be exposed to extreme temperature, despite its waterproof nature, boiling it or placing it in the dishwasher for cleaning would harm the toy.

MiMi can only be used with water based lubes. From my experience, most situations MiMi gets into won't require much lube, if any at all. But if applied to sensitive skin or a vaginal area with little natural lubrication, lubing up the tip would be a good idea.

Like other silicone toys, MiMi is a bit of a lint magnet. It actually picks up quite a bit less than other toys of its kind, which is nice, but should still be lightly washed or dusted off before each use.

MiMi should be stored in a separate toy pouch, or along with other nonporous silicone toys. I believe the toy could be kept non-dusty with the use of a compartmentalized toy box.
