I love bullets. I think I have a "gotta collect them all" fascination with bullets. I love that they're discreet and can be stored just about anywhere and I can use them alone or between my husband and I during sex. They're just so versatile and I've always been big on clitoral stimulation so bullets just tend to be my favorite. Well, I decided to try out Evolved's Speeding Bullets to see if they would turn out to be as intense as I thought they'd be. Turns out they are, and then some!

First of all I have to say that I love Evolved's packaging. The Speeding Bullet comes in a clear plastic box and then inside that box the bullet sits on a plastic molded tray inside a hard plastic, three sided box. If you lift the plastic tray out you'll find three replacement batteries. Three watch batteries already come in the bullet (with a plastic pull to ensure they're not being run down before you get the bullet), so you get two full sets of batteries with this bullet. Which is awesome because I don't keep watch batteries in the house usually so this way I will have a back up when these batteries run out. I have to say though that this bullet has seen a lot of action lately and it's still running strong on the original batteries.

The Speeding Bullets "Armor Piercing" bullet is shaped like an actual bullet and it's made out of hard plastic and then coated to be velvety soft. I find the shape and small size make it perfect to nestle in against my clit. For me the size and shape of a bullet make a lot of difference. Sometimes they'll be too rounded and it's hard to get a good pinpointed stimulation. Other times they are too thin and narrow and they don't give enough surface area of the vibration. The armor piercing bullet is shaped just right so it allows a larger surface area at the tip but then tapers down to a smaller middle before flaring back out. It's silky texture also glides nicely enough but also stays in place well, truly the best of both worlds.

Speeding bullets have 5 different functions of vibration. There are two steady vibrations, neither of them are what I would consider to be "low". I'd say maybe a medium and high although honestly it's closer to high and turbo. This bullet truly does pack a lot of power in such a small package. There are then three pulsation patterns, a steady pulse at a medium speed, then a rapid-fire pulsation that's so fast it's almost like a fluttering and then a pulsation that has a short pulse followed by a long pulse. The pulsations feel like they're at the vibration level of the lower steady vibration. They're not out of this world intense but they are more than sufficient to get the job done. All of the vibrations are a mix between deep and buzzy. Overall they feel pretty deep but if you use just a light touch they can feel a bit buzzy. I truly think this is just because they're that intense, though. If you don't like strong vibrations this might not be the bullet for you, unless you are willing to use it over your clothing.

The Speeding Bullets are also waterproof so you can bring the fun into the bath or the shower with you if you'd like. There is a nice screw on battery cap with an o-ring to ensure no moisture gets in and the control button is a waterproof rubbery button. The only thing is that the button is pretty hard to press. This is nice for some situations as you won't accidentally turn to a different setting during use but it's kind of hard to press with just one hand. This is even harder to do if your hands are slippery, such as if you are using lubricant or are in the shower or bath.

As for cleaning of the Speeding Bullet you can use a mild soap and warm water or toy cleaner. The plastic is non-porous so it's fairly easy to keep clean. It can't truly be sterilized though, so just keep that in mind if you're planning on sharing the toy between partners. Also, this material allows you to use any type of lubricant if you should need it. I don't find lubrication normally necessary for bullets, but if you were to need it, for example if you were using it inside of a hollow dildo any type of lubrication would be ok and would not interact poorly with the material.

One of the reasons I love bullets so much is because they can get me to climax with such intensity with such a discreet little toy. I'm a mom of three young kids so often my "alone time" is not always a guarantee. I can put them down for a nap or to bed at night and think I'll have peace and quiet for a while only to be interrupted unexpectedly. So, if I'm going to be downstairs and I don't have a door I can just lock to guarantee my privacy, I like to use bullets since I can just close the bullet into the palm of my hand if need be. The shape of the Speeding Bullet also made it great to use between me and my husband while I was on top. The vibrations are so intense that his entire shaft vibrated from them. I have to say though that it was a bit uncomfortable since the part where the bullet screws into the battery case has a somewhat pointed edge. It just took some maneuvering to find a good position for it and then it worked out fine. This was another situation where the hard to press button was both a blessing and a curse. It was nice that as we were moving it did not change settings on us, but it was hard to change when I wanted to change from a steady vibration to a pulse. I find that after I orgasm I can't take the continued steady vibration but sometimes it's nice to have a pulse to keep me at that heightened state of arousal. This was especially necessary with the speeding bullet since its steady vibration is so intense. When I went to change the vibration I found it hard to get a good enough grip to be able to press the button. This entertained my husband greatly as he got to see me wiggle around with the intensity of the vibrations before I was able to turn it to the pulsation.

Bullets are also so versatile. The Speeding Bullet doesn't have to be used for just clitoral stimulation, although that's what I mainly use it for. You could use this anywhere on your body that you'd like to feel some earth shaking vibration. You could use it externally on the anus, just don't insert it as it's very small and there is no flared base. It'd also feel nice if the bullet was run along the body as a tease. You can also pop this bullet into a masturbation sleeve or a hollow based dildo, basically anywhere you want vibration the bullet will be eager to please.

I still love my speeding bullet, the only thing that I have found to be a dislike is the way that the batteries work in it. It's one of those vibes that it either works or it doesn't. There is no warning (that I can feel anyway) that the batteries will die soon. I take the batteries out after every use too, so it's not that they drain in the bullet. And I also only use those batteries with this bullet, in fact I store them right under the little plastic tray that comes with the bullet. I used it many times and the batteries worked well, full power, everything good. Then I went to use it about a week after that and put the batteries back in and it would barely turn on at all and when it did it would last a few seconds and turn back off. New batteries of course resolved the issue so it's not a big deal, it's just good to keep back up batteries on hand especially if this is your only toy. I don't keep watch batteries on hand but luckily I had some other choices to choose from and another Evolved vibe, a bottle rocket, saved the day that time!
