Bootie - small butt plug by Fun Factory - review by Rub My Ducky

The Bootie is an exceptional butt plug for those just starting out with anal play. Because of its small stature, it's neither intimidating nor painful, even for the exceedingly tight-assed among us! The long, slim base holds the plug's orientation nicely, making it a perfect wear-around plug for extended and daily use. One thing I found out quickly using this product: Everything is more fun when you're wearing your Bootie!

Of course, Fun Factory's Bootie is, like most of their products, made of pure silicone. It has a wonderful velvety smooth texture and an attractive matte finish, giving it as much butt-appeal as eye-appeal. It is firm, with relatively little give through the shaft, and feels smooth going in. As my go-to, all-day plug, I've never experienced any uncomfortable abrasion from the Bootie when used properly with water-based lubrication.

Be aware, however, that the Bootie does hold on to odors! There's actually a nice little icon on the packaging specifically telling you that it is not to be sniffed after use. Of course, out of curiosity, I sniffed it. Unless you are quite fond of your personal odors, keep it below the belt!

The Bootie is definitely on the smaller end of the butt plug spectrum, and is marketed toward beginners. I would tend to agree with that assessment, though I do think it is a comfortable and pleasurable item for those seeking a good, unobtrusive plug for extended periods of wear, regardless of their prior anal experience. While its supple curves make for a comfortable experience, chances are it's not going to reach your P-spot or cause too much of a stimulative ruckus all on its own. The elongated base does an excellent job of preventing slippage and rotation during strenuous activities or enthusiastic play, but female users may find their modesty undesirably enhanced, as it has a tendency to partially cover up the naughty bits.

Overall, its design is simple, functional, and in a league of oddly-shaped objects made to stick up your stinker, the Bootie is downright classy.

As a performer, the Bootie definitely stands out for its comfort factor. Because of its basic design and lack of vibrations or other bells and whistles, you shouldn't expect to get too much bang out of it all by itself. Wearing it around, the Bootie is definitely noticeable, but not in a bad way. Consider it a gentle hug for your bum, rather than an intense session of rear-end lovemaking. On the boy's side, it feels great during play, but as I mentioned earlier in the review, the ladies may have some trouble wearing this during vaginal intercourse.

A few things to consider when it comes to maintaining your Bootie: Being made of pure silicone, it can be washed with antibacterial soap, wiped with a light bleach solution, or even boiled. On the downside, you absolutely must stick with water-based lubricants! Silicone-based lubes should not be used with this, or other, toys which contain silicone. Also, the Bootie does not come with its own storage pouch, so be sure you have a clean place to keep it or it will get covered in lint and other nasties.

As far as durability is concerned, well, let me put it this way: My Bootie and I are getting darn close to our one-year, but she's still good-as-new and sexy as all get out. Despite constant washing, I can't say she smells like daisies, but considering her line of work, I still think she's a keeper!
