Pure plug large - butt plug by Njoy - review by ToyTimeTim

"Quite possibly the best plug on earth" Pretty bold statement, eh? Now, I probably have just as much steel running through my body as blood due to my back ground in steel fabrication, so that statement should come as no surprise. Honestly though, that statement not only comes from my personal experience with anal toys but also from my understanding of steel-more specifically Stainless Steel.

So let’s delve into the Pure Plug Large and you can make the decision for yourself, shall we?

Since the packaging is the first thing everyone sees when they open the EF shipping box, I'll start there. The first that you see is the plastic covered, white stiff paper sleeve surrounding a black, hard sided box. The cover and the box have the Njoy logo with the words "pure/fun" just above.


Once you remove the white cover and open your box the excitement that only a quality sex toy can bring starts to build. Seriously, my ass quivers and I start to get an erection every time I open the box. Just look and see why.

Feast your eyes on the pink silk-like blanket that the highly polished Pure Plug is nestled in! Downright sexy, eh?

As you reach in and grab the Pure Plug you will undoubtedly notice the heft of this plug. At around one pound it is pretty heavy, although there is one that is heavier from Njoy (The 2.0). The next thing you can't help but notice is the quality of the craftsmanship. Nowhere, and I mean NO WHERE, will you find a flaw in the finish. Hell, I could shave in the reflection of this plug. Damn I love stainless! The only place you will find any form of disruption in the surface is where the Njoy logo has been etched into the bottom of the handle.

The Large comes in at just under 1 1/2" across at its widest point; it has an oval shape so the other axis measures at 1 1/4" across. This gives you a circumference of 4 1/2". I find that the oval shape helps the plug slide into the anus much easier than a round plug does; to me it also feels slightly smaller than a round plug of the same circumference. The spade shaped top of the plug is 1 3/4" long from tip to where the neck starts.

The neck starts out at 3/4" across (maintains the oval shape) and tapers down to 3/8". The neck has a nice curve that is 1 1/8" long measured straight across. Meeting the neck of the plug is the wonderful oval shaped handle. This is where all the Pure Plugs shine when it comes to long term wear and comfort. The handle on the Large is 5/8" wide where it meets the neck and 1/4" wide where the Njoy logo is. This tapering of the handle goes a long way in nestling in between the butt cheeks. The 2" long handle assures that the plug will not be lost to the abyss of the rectum.

Here you can see the shape of the Large as well as the size compared to the 2.0. Too bad there is not a plug that would fit in between the large and the 2.0.

As you can see the overall shape and design is kept but you get a smaller overall size.

When it comes to cleaning and care of Stainless Steel there is really only two rules to remember.

1) Do not use harsh abrasives or soaps to clean it. Simple soap and water or toy cleaners will work just fine, dry with a soft cloth or towel.

2) If sanitizing is required you can boil it for a few minutes or put in the top rack of the dishwasher. You COULD use a 10% bleach solution but I do not advise this option. One of the few things that will damage the finish of the stainless is bleach; if left on for too long it will etch the mirror like finish. Then you are faced with the tedious task of polishing the plug to regain the finish. Take it from me; this is not an easy process.

Use any lube you like. One of the best things about having a mirror like finish is that the material glides effortlessly into the anus with just a drop or two of lube. I find silicone based lubes to be best for long term wear. Oil and water based lube will be just fine too.

My wish list for Njoy toys has been completed with the addition of the Pure Plug Large. There is only one other Njoy toy that I have considered, that being the Fun Wand. I have used a similar shaped toy though and I did not find the shape to be njoyable. Looking back, the Pure Plug Large should have been bought at first.

Bar none, this is the best plug I own. Sure some of the others provide more stimulation to my prostate or are bigger but this plug is by far better when it comes to comfort. Due to the curve of the neck I can wear it with the curve directing the tip towards my prostate for sex or masturbation for extra stimulation or turn it around for super comfortable long term wear. One thing I found is that when worn facing the prostate the handle provides extra stimulation to my perineum which for me is a bonus.

One thing I would like is for the Large to have the same neck length as the 2.0, as it is the Large does not move in and out as much as the 2.0. While this is not a con per say, it would help to provide more movement which in turn would provide more stimulation. Still, the Large is perfect in every other way; it stays in no matter what, is the most comfortable plug I own to wear long term and I can sit on a hard chair with no problems at all. I even wore this plug while mowing my one acre yard seated in the rather hard seat of my ride on mower, this takes me over an hour to mow. The only other plug I can wear for such a long time is, can you guess?, is the 2.0. Figures, eh?

So if you are still wondering if the Pure Plug Large is for you, you only have to ask yourself two questions. 1) Can you take the size? 2) Do you like hard materials? If you answered yes to these two questions place it in your cart and buy it now. You will not regret the purchase.

Oh, and for the female folks out there. I bet this would be a wonderful G-spot/Kegel toy, the shape could certainly reach some G-spots and the weight could give a great work out for those Kegels.
