Review of Vamp - Realistic dildo

The Vamp is a very versatile toy, and has many uses. Having a flared base means that it's suited for anal penetration as well as vaginal penetration. It can also be used in a strapon, although the flared base is a little bit thin, so it may not be as sturdy as some other strapon-compatible dildos, although I cannot speak from experience. The pronounced head provides a little bit of g-spot stimulation, but probably won't hit the spot for women with deeper g-spots. I use the Vamp for solo use, but of course couples can have a blast with it too. Whether you use it in a strap-on or just to play with yourself or a partner, it's sure to be a fun addition to anyone's bedtime routine. Because of the girth, it may not be for beginners, but intermediate to advanced users should love this toy.

Tantus's Vamp, like most of their other toys, is made out of pure silicone. Silicone is non-porous, making it one of the safest materials available on the sex toy market. If you wish to share this toy with a partner, it can be sterilized through bleaching, boiling, or going through the dishwasher. The toy does not have any taste or smell to it, but it does have a fair amount of drag, so you may wish to use lubricant. As it is silicone, only water-based lubricant should be used with the Vamp. Silicone-based lubricants have the potential to be harmful to it and degrade the surface. Unfortunately, this toy is a lint magnet like no other, and has to be washed if it falls on the bed during a play session, which is a turn off.

For my taste, the silicone is a little bit too firm. Although it's visually realistic, it doesn't entirely feel like the real thing. Also, there is not very much give to the toy, so if you're not sure that you can take the girth or are looking for something that feels more realistic, this probably isn't for you.

Quite obviously, the Vamp is meant to be a realistic dildo. It's targeted towards Twilight fans, and has a shimmer to it. The one that I received has a less noticeable shimmer, but is flecked with little sparkles. This bothers me a little bit, since it's sometimes difficult to tell if it's clean or not when I'm washing it after use. This toy features a very pronounced head and some subtle veining. The head provides a little bit of g-spot stimulation, while the veins add some texture that can be felt while not being overwhelming. Obviously, this toy is not discreet at all, and should be well hidden from view.

The Vamp is 6 3/4" long with 6 1/4" insertable. It has a 5" circumference, or a 1 1/2" diameter. The diameter is the largest that I have been able to take, and requires some warm up before I can take it comfortably, due to the drag and texture. Because of the girth and the firmness, this toy is best suited for intermediate users.

In my opinion, the best thing about the Vamp is the pronounced head. The way it rubs against my g-spot while thrusting is just fantastic. This toy is definitely high quality and will give you a lot of bang for your buck, but it didn't quite meet all of my expectations. The silicone was too firm for my taste, and I feel that the toy would be MUCH more enjoyable if Tantus had used a slightly softer blend. If you know that you're going to want something on the softer side as well, you may want to look into something else.

Silicone is VERY easy to care for. For regular clean-ups, you can use warm water and antibacterial soap or a toy cleaner. If you're sharing it with a partner and wish to sterilize it, the Vamp can be bleached, boiled, or put through the dishwasher.

I keep my Vamp in a toy bag with a couple of my glass toys, but it can also be stored in its original packaging.
Make sure that you never use silicone lubricant with any silicone toy, as they are not compatible and may ruin your toy.

The Vamp comes in a clear plastic box with a plastic insert in it, holding the Vamp. The packaging is not discreet at all, so you may want to dispose of it if you do not plan on using it to store your toy. The original packaging can be used as storage, but dealing with the plastic insert may get irritating after awhile.
