You'd Have to be Ballsy to Try

Overall, the Ballsy Cock is a fun colored realistic dildo. The smell is awful, though, and stays awful even after several washes.

Doc Johnson's Crystal Jellies Ballsy Cock is a suction-cup dildo meant for vaginal or anal penetration. It can be suctioned to a floor or wall, or you can try it with a strap-on O-ring harness on your partner. This is a fairly heavy dildo, though, so it does tend to slip out of the O-ring on my harness if I'm too rough or spend a lot of time helicopter dicking.

It is a thick and girthy toy, so I wouldn't recommend this toy for beginners at all.

It is also made out of PVC and deteriorates after time, which can cause pain during use. If you're going to use this, I highly recommend putting a condom on it to avoid a burning sensation.

I personally have used this for pegging a partner. He enjoyed it quite a bit, but it was after some warm-up with other toys. He admitted that without the warm-up, he would not have been able to take this one due to girth.

Material / Texture

Unfortunately, the Doc Johnson Ballsy Cock is not made from a very safe material. PVC (or "jelly") is considered a 2 on the EF Material Guide. It is waterproof and latex-free. It is a porous material, so be sure to use a condom if sharing.

It has a very strong odor to it. The odor is really bad. It stays on my hands for quite some time after handling the Ballsy Cock, even after washing my hands.

It is a textured toy; it is realistic with veins, though the material does not feel realistic. The toy is fairly firm, though it does flop around a bit.

This toy also picks up color from toys/accessories, so beware. Mine has picked up a black color from my strap-on harness (it is leather, so when it gets wet it bleeds).

Design / Shape / Size

The Crystal Jellies Ballsy Cock is a realistically-shaped dildo, complete with veins and balls. It is slightly translucent pink in color (more pink than what the photos show).

I'm not really a fan of realistic dildos, so it hasn't really worked for me. I find that it is too girthy for me at 1 5/8", though some people may be able to use it comfortably. It is approximately 7 3/4" long, but only 6 1/2" is insertable.

This toy is not discreet. It looks like a hot pink dick. It is suitable for travel, though, if you don't mind the possibility of having your bags searched to see a giant pink penis.
    • Realistic

For me, the best part of this toy is the fact that I can use it on a partner for pegging. I wouldn't use it on a beginner partner, as it is girthy. The Ballsy Cock weighs about a pound, and may be too heavy for some O-rings, but the suction cup is large enough to use in a strap-on. Alternatively, you can put the O-ring on the other side of the balls if you have a harness that would work.

I haven't tried the suction cup for solo play as it is too big for me. I have used the suction cup to stick this to the fridge door, where it stayed for a week, providing my roommate and me endless entertainment.

Care and Maintenance

To care for the Ballsy Cock, you'll want to wash it with soap and water, or toy cleaner. You'll also be able to use either water- or silicone-based lubricant.

This toy does pick up quite a bit of lint, so be sure to clean it off before and after use.

If you're sharing with a partner, you'll want to use a condom!
    • Easy to clean

Personal comments

I'm not really a fan of this toy. The smell is a big deterrent for me, and the girth is much too thick for me to use on myself. I do enjoy using this in my strap-on for pegging though.

    Whoa--jelly/PVC is NOT phthalates-free.
  • Contributor: SydneyScreams
Eek! It said that on the EF product page, which is what I based that off of
  • Contributor: FieryRed
Oh wow--so it does! That must have been typed in wrong. Even the materials page says nothing about phthalates: [] - because those are the chemicals used to soften the PVC, and that make it smell so awful and cause irritation over time.

I just edited my review to remove that. Thank you for clarifying!! I thought it did, but I was like "well...I guess if it's on the product page..."

My apologies, Sydney!! I have done some more research, and there ARE PVC "jellies" made with non-phthalate plasticizers now. The product page on the manufacturer's website confirms that this is one of them. At least now we know...haha!

Knowing is half the battle! Thank you for letting me know

Absolutely! Honestly, I still don't think I'd trust it, since you said it has a strong smell, which indicates that SOME kind of particles are being emitted. You also mentioned it deteriorates over time, and can cause a burning sensation? That doesn't sound safe, even if it is phthalate free...
