Massager discontinued

Are You Sure You Haven't Done This Before?

The design of this gorgeous massage stone from JimmyJane is one that allows even the most inexperienced massage giver to feel like they really know what they're doing. Add to that the ability to mess around with temperature play, how affordable it is, how much it cuts down on hand fatigue, and so many other things, there's no real downsides.

extremely useful review
We both work long hours and do plenty of heavy lifting throughout the day. This can sometimes lead to having some tension in the back or shoulders, and while most of the time, an all over general rub down is what we love, sometimes, we just need something that goes a little deeper. This worked better on him because his back is less bony than mine, but I still mostly enjoyed it.

M is brought to you by the fine people of JimmyJane and is a set of 3 I guess you could say, with two other accessories (that can also be used by themselves): the I and the Q, which is actually 2 pieces. It comes to you nestled in a lovely box that comes complete with a little pamphlet that gives you a couple different ways you can use it, safety and storage instructions, and how to clean it.

Because M is made of a double fired porcelain, it's body safe, durable, and you can use pretty much anything you want with it for a massage aid. You can heat it up by placing it in a bowl of warm water (never microwave it) or cool it down by placing it in the fridge or in a bowl of ice water.

M is about 3"x3"x3". It's still a little less than 3" tall, but still resembles a 3" cube slightly. It can be used broad side down for shallower, lighter strokes. You can vary the pressure and make them harder and heavier as well. It can be used with its 4 nubs facing down for a more direct pinpoint stimulation, or you can even use just one nub for really direct stimulation. If you're using an oil or don't want to pour one of the massage candles onto your partner, you can set M nubby side up and it'll act as a small bowl that you can dip your fingers into.

JimmyJane recommends cleaning M with a mild detergent and warm water. I just walked over to the bathroom sink and used the liquid soap I had right there and dried it off with a clean towel.
Experience
Even though neither my fiance or myself have any idea what we're doing when it comes to massages (the reason we normally just go for all over rub downs), the M made it a lot easier to 'fake' like we knew what we were doing. All it took is one of us to tell the other where we wanted more pressure and we were good.

My only complaints about M are nothing that I could fault it on. One being that my hands are really small and while M is really lightweight and I can hold it in one hand, for any real good movements, I need both hands and I have to hold it at an awkward angle that bothers my hands after a while. The other is that my back is pretty bony. Spine and shoulder blades and all that, and well, M just isn't all that friendly to random spots of bone sticking out.

My fiance on the other hand, has a much meatier back and loves getting a rubdown on his back, butt, and legs with M. He likes that he can use it with one hand really easily and that the texture doesn't bother me.

One thing that I did notice while using it on him, is that you know all that dead skin looking stuff you sometimes get when you use lotions for massage and whatnot? Well M just picks all that right up and smudges it around the stone. I found the only good way to get it off was to wash it, which was no big deal.

All in all, we're both really happy with M, and we'll be using it for a long time to come.
Follow-up commentary
My husband gets the benefits of this more often than I do because I still find it to be uncomfortable on my fairly bony back, but it's held up to being dropped on our area rug and in the sink, and doesn't look any worse for the wear.
