Contour M - massager discontinued by Jimmyjane - review by ♥ Amanda ♥

I am always looking for new ways to turn my bedroom into a personal spa for my man. He loves getting rub downs and I like spoiling him. When you go to the spa you find a lot of stone therapy, and that is because it works really well to give deep muscle massages and is super soothing. It works! When JimmyJane came out with Contour M, I was super excited! I have a large collection of massage objects, lotions, and oils; I didn't have any stones. Contour M was perfect for us and I love using it over and over.

The Contour M comes packaged in an elegant white box with loads of information on it. The box includes pictures of other JimmyJane products, their web address, background information on the product, and picture diagrams of how to use the M. Inside there is also a more descriptive pamphlet that JimmyJane always is trusted to include with warning information and their entire product line with full color pictures. I just love their packaging and always find myself keeping it for all the information and storing as well. The box is solid and stores the M very nicely. Oh and it's recyclable if that is your gig.

Now for the gift inside.. the Contour M. It is so beautiful. The M is sized just right to fit in the palm of a hand. Its topside has a roundness to it, making it very easy to grip. On the underside, there are four circular points that roll in to a bowl shape. This is great for adding lotions or oils to for massages. The total size of the Contour M is 3x3 and it covers a good body area and gives attention to muscles like you wouldn't believe.

The M is made of Ceramic. It is high in strength, hardness, durability, and has a high resistance to thermal shock. It can be warmed and cooled as you like. It is also very non-porous if you choose to share it or give your genital area some attention with it. We used it specially for massage and did not go that route. The M is super easy to clean. Wash it with warm soapy water after each use and then rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Store the M in a storage pouch or its original box to keep it safe. It is very durable though. I have to admit I have dropped it a few times and it has held up. The M can be bleached to sanitize it after washing or you can apply the same cleaning methods to your ceramic toys as you would to ceramic tableware. Do not use abrasive or metallic scrubbers though.

Contour M is very strong, smooth, and firm. Its texture is wonderful for body massage. I use the M to massage my partner on his back, neck, and legs. It is harder than objects like wood rollers or vibrating plastic massagers, so I usually stick to the thicker parts of the body. I don't recommend using directly against areas like the ribs, chest, of knees. The stone can be uncomfortable when pressed against bone. The best ways to use it are displayed on its packaging. There is a single-point massage when you simply massage the skin with only one point of the stone. The second is a multi-point massage where you keep all the points facing down and massage the skin and last there is the broad strokes massage. Here you take the stone and flip it over and run it up and down the skin. This works really well for a deep massage. All of them feel amazing and of course feel better with a lotion or massage oil. I have used a variety with it and have had no issues. The M has a smooth, crack free surface so there are no areas where lotions, potions, or oils collect. The bowl type inside also is great for adding the lotion or oil directly to it and then flipping it over and going.

We are totally happy with out Contour M. I use it all the time and we love it. It's a great addition for those who enjoy massage.
