The Ramp Made Us Better at Positions & Video Games

The Liberator Ramp is a sexual aid that can be used by pretty much anyone even if you decide to use it solo. It aids in positioning, eases the strain on the body to allow for longer, more comfortable sex, and can even help couples find the g-spot. It has proved to be useful for a number of situations and hasn't shown much wear over three years of use.

Use

The Ramp was my first piece of Liberator sex furniture, and it was also my gift from Eden for hitting 100 reviews. I know, I totally suck for not having done this review sooner. Part of the reason is that when I got it, I also had plans to get the Wedge, which I did a few months ago. I wanted to try them out together before doing my review. I decided to do this review for my 500th because a lot of you voted for it, and because it's a piece deserving of a special review slot.

I've had the Ramp for about three years now, I believe. It gets used almost everyday by my partner and I, although, it is not always in a sexual way. It has shown a little wear, but mostly it's good as new. First and foremost, it can help couples achieve more difficult or original positions. It can also do so while making the participants more physically comfortable by supporting the body forms. The Ramp can also help some women find or reach their g-spot during penetration since the Ramp lifts the hips to a better angle and level. It's also great for oral. My partner and I discovered this first while playing video games. When not in use sexually, it has become a video gaming furniture piece. We love that it is discreet enough to not have to be stored away. Due to size, some might have a hard time storing it if they needed to keep it put away. But even if you don't think it is discreet enough, it comes with a thin zipping sleeve - gearbag. You'll need it regardless since the Ramp collects a lot of dust. That's its only con to me.

The Ramp is great for couples of all experience levels and age! It can be used by hetero or homosexual couples, and doesn't even require a partner to be useful. Use it alone too! The Ramp can also be paired with various other Liberator gear and is a staple to any sex lovers collection. It IS worth the price.

MATERIAL:

The Ramp comes in three colors: purple, blue, and black. I chose black because I figured it would be most discreet and would clash least with current or future furniture or decor in our apartment. The surface fabric is a very luxurious feeling velvet made of microfiber. It doesn't feel cheap in any way. It has a slight shine to it instead of looking dull or flat - better than the pictures actually. The feel is very comfortable, and one nice thing about the fabric is that it doesn't have a distinctive grain! Most man made materials like this have a distinctive direction that the material feels softest. This totally doesn't. It feels great no matter which way you rub on it. Even after an hour of being on this thing in one way or another, my skin never feels irritated.

The velvety fabric coats the Liberator Ramp form very snuggly and is actually a zip-off sleeve. It zips off on the larger side of the triangle shape. The zipper is very easy to use and is made of sturdy plastic. Underneath this layer (that removes for easier cleaning) is a nylon layer that also has a zipper, although, it unzips in the opposite direction. This layer is made of a thin nylon. So this way, even if your top layer is dirty and being washed or drying, you can still use the Ramp! If you unzip this layer, the foam is exposed. It's nothing amazing, like cheap sponge material, not like memory foam or anything. For the price, I was surprised but I guess it doesn't matter what it actually is made of since it feels so great during use.

DESIGN/DIMENSIONS:

The Ramp's shape is basically half a rectangular cube cut diagonally to make it into a wedge, like a wooden door stopper. The design can be used in a great variety of ways. It is also on considerable size. It takes up a decent amount of space on a twin or double sized bed.

If you lay it "right side up", the side will make a 90 degree angle. After using it, I actually prefer to flip it over so that there is a more sloped angle. But for the purpose of taking measurements and describing them, I laid it the first way.

It is 33" long, 11" tall, and 34 1/2" across. It is also 23 1/2" wide. Being a size 8 woman who weighs a little over 140 pounds, about 1 1/2 of me could fit on here and does not cave under my weight at all. Even when you add my boyfriend's body on top of mine, an additional 185 pounds, the Ramp holds its form well.

The ramp has a small Liberator patch on the side of it with their angel like logo. It's also discreet.

Performance

The Ramp is designed to help aid couples in various sexual positions. It does so for a number of reasons. For one, it lifts the pelvis to a more comfortable level for the receiver and giver. It helps my partner guide through my sensitive areas and avoid hitting my cervix and or pubic bone. It also helps him find my g-spot. It can do this for many women by creating a better angle for the penis or dildo to make contact, and maintain constant contact with the g-spot. This of course is for the doggy style position. For me, and many other women I have talked to, they enjoy doggy style and it feels good, but it takes a long time to finish from because they don't have constant contact on their clitoris. The Ramp allows for the person to lay down and have their torso supported by the Ramp instead of supporting their own weight on their knees and elbows entirely. You can still also support your upper body with your arms. This is a sort of modified doggy style, but it serves the same purpose. The end of the Ramp can be gripped too, so hold on for dear life when your partner is riding you!

NOTE: The effectiveness of the lifted pelvis will depend on the heights of both partners. My partner is a little taller than 6' and he finds that when I am on my stomach that he has to be on one knee to get to the right level. If he is on two, his penis is too low to enter me comfortably.

Flipping over, it raises the pelvis for easier access when penetrating or teasing your partner with toys. It also makes giving oral really sexy because you can see everything a lot easier. Being on your back can also help with penile penetration due to the extra boost from gravity. So instead of having the legs held up by the penetrating partner, the Ramp supports the weight. It makes it easier to lift the legs above the head for anal sex too. Since the vaginal opening is now higher than it would be if I were on my stomach, my partner and I don't have the same height issue here.

I personally use the Ramp for doggy style the most, but also like to have my partner lay on it on his back with his pelvis in the air. I can then face away from him and bounce on him, in between his legs. I can grip the end of the Ramp or his thighs for added support, but his raised pelvis means I don't have to move nearly as much to bounce on his cock. It saves my knees and thighs if I don't feel like doing an aerobic routine during sex that day. I do need to add the Wedge to the equation to elevate my partner's head (or use a pillow), so he does not get a headache, which he gets almost instantly with his head being lower than his torso and legs.

This is a good place to discuss the different ways that the Ramp can be laid down. One way, the angle is 90 degrees, the other, it is more slanted and allows the thighs to lay against it more flat. Either way, the Ramp is very comfortable, but there is a noticeable difference for me when I lay on it when the angle is slanted. It is incredibly comfortable when the Wedge is added. I could seriously like fall asleep laying on this thing!

Packaging

Due to the large size, the Ramp comes in an appropriately large box from Eden. It arrives with the velvet sleeve on it and the gearbag included.

Care and Maintenance

The gearbag is very necessary. The material is a friggin lint magnet. It will collect any little fuzzies that go near it. I suggest investing in a lint roller. So far, we have only had to spot clean the material with a warm wash cloth and a tiny bit of soap, but since the sleeve zips off, it is very easy to through into a washer on a cold cycle. You can then tumble dry it on low heat.

So how do you store this thing? We don't. We move it from room to room as we need it, bedroom for sex, living room for lounging, or game room for gamer furniture. It would fit in a closet if it needs to, but it won't fit under our bed.

    • Easy to clean

Experience

Adding the Wedge makes the Ramp even better. It isn't necessary for doggy style positions, but it helps to elevate the head when you are laying on your back. Flipping the Wedge over can differ the angle just like it does for the Ramp.

We love the Ramp. Really, it's fun for all sorts of reasons. It really made my partner and I better and video games too. It takes extra concentration to play a video games when you are also getting oral! Jokes aside, the Ramp really is an excellent sexual aid. We don't use it every time or even half the time, but it still has gotten plenty of use over the past three years. The only wear I have noticed is duller spots near wear the shoulders would lie when on ours backs. It can only be seen in certain lights, though.

If price is the only thing holding you back, I can assure you that the Ramp is totally worth it, even without the Wedge to go along with it. Thank you Eden for giving it to me for my 100th review!
Follow-up commentary
If you just hit 100 reviews or are about to, get the Ramp! I couldn't of asked for a better gift for my first 100 reviews. It does have some wear, like I described in my review, but maybe Liberator will sell replacement covers eventually. That would be great!
