Sassy - gel discontinued by Sliquid, LLC - review by Jordan B

Sassy is a water-based lube that is made by Sliquid. You can use this lube for pretty much any type of occasion. You can use it vaginally or on a man's member, but the best use for this lube is anal. Because of its natural claim, you can safely use this lube any way you would want. Since this lube is flavor-free, you could also use it for oral, if needed.

Sliquid is also is proud to say that this product is 100% vegan-friendly. Sliquid also claims that Sassy is glycerine-free, paraben-free, hypoallergenic, non-staining, and fragrance and flavor-free. They also have a little quote: "Formulated to last longer than most Hollywood marriages!"

- Purified Water
- Plant Cellulose (from Cotton)
- Cyamopsis (Guar conditioners),
- Potassium Sorbate
- Citric Acid

I absolutely love the texture of this lube. It feels like silk. Once applied on the skin, it is very smooth to rub with. It is by far the thickest water-based lube I have ever tried.

It is not oily or greasy. Once absorbed into the skin, it leaves it nice and soft. No stickiness.

As a testament to how thick this lube is, I simply put a good-sized drop on my finger and let it hang there, with my finger upside down. It does not leave my finger. I tried shaking my hand up and down and then sideways. It still didn't budge. The lube stays put.

The aroma of this lube is very faint. I cannot seem to put my finger on it, but it smells a little like a very light hand soap. You really need to stick your nose in there to smell anything from this lube.

As far as the taste goes. I was not able to taste anything. I took a good, long, lick and nothing--it is simply a tasteless lube.

When using it anally, the product lasted for a long time; I never needed to reapply. The longest that I have used this lube in a session with my girlfriend is about 30 minutes without reapplication. I believe that to be a nice, lengthy time. I can see this lube lasting a lot longer than that. Since it is nice and thick, I only needed to use a little, and I was ready to go. Like the old saying goes, a little goes a long way.

As far as masturbation goes, that's a different story. I was able to use it for a little bit, but after about 5-8 minutes, or so, I needed to reapply it because it got absorbed into my skin. Although it did absorb into my skin, it didn't leave me sticky or anything of the sort; it left me nice and silky. I wouldn't recommend this lube for masturbation if you're the type to play with yourself for a very long time. But hey, no harm in reapplying or adding a little saliva to the mix. When using for masturbation, I noticed that the lube formed a little foam with the motion of the stroking.

My girlfriend and I have not yet used it for sex nor has she used it for her dildos. We currently have a go-to lube for those activities, but I will be sure to add my comments in my follow-up review if ever we do use Sassy for this.

If you're into anal play then I would 100% recommend going with Sliquid's Sassy Booty lube.

If you find that you have too much lube on you after your session, you can easily wash it off with soap and water, or even just water will do the trick. You could also just let it be and let it absorb into your skin.

When received in the mail, the lube simply comes in its 4.2-oz clear, plastic bottle. At the top of the bottle is a twist-cap that you must unscrew in order to remove the safety seal. There's a push-tab on top of the cap to expose a hole on its side to dispense the Sassy. This bottle is great for travel. Although you can put it upside-down or sideways and it will not leak, it would be best to stand it upright, just to not run the risk of pushing the tab at the top and risk having the lube leaking everywhere in your bag.

On the bottle there's a neon, pink sticker that wraps around it. If you need to be discreet, you may remove the sticker from the bottle (although you need to remember that this bottle is clear, so people can see what's inside). The front of the bottle has the Sliquid name on it, with their logo.

Toward the back of the bottle is the list of ingredients. Also on the back are Sliquid's pros for this lube, which have all been previously explained.

I recommend this to anyone and all my friends--if not for anal use, then for the body-safe ingredients and the luxuriously thick consistency. Even though this is marketed as an anal lube, and that is where it really shines, the bottle has absolutely no mention or reference to any anal activity.

This is a really great lube, and we're looking forward to trying more from the Sliquid line!
