Yet another high school yearbook has been recalled this year. It belongs to the Big Bear Lake High School in California and it's being recalled by the school in cooperation with the local Sheriff's Department. From what we understand, they are investigating photos of a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl who may or may not have been doing ... well, what kids do on prom night.
We're not quite sure of the details. Police aren't saying much. But one thing's for sure, according to all reports. The boy's hands were inside the girl's clothing and some students are facing the possibility of being arrested on child pornography charges.
“You know, how you look at a photo and don't notice what's in the background? Then, it's, 'Oh my gosh, look what's going on back there,'” says Cynthia Bachman, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department. “The photo was taken at a dance and the suspect and victim are not the focus of the photo. They are in the background and likely didn't know they were in the photo. When the adviser scanned the photo, it was very easy to overlook.”
Suspect? Victim? Seriously? From all accounts this is just a case of a couple kids fooling around accidentally ending up in a yearbook!
So far, no one has been arrested. And why should they be?
