When we say someone has a “dirty mind,” here at SexIs, we generally mean it as a compliment. But we’re going to make an exception for the person at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles who decided that Dana Cobb’s vanity license plate, “2INPINK”, is obscene and sexually explicit.
Of course, now that the DMV has gotten involved, our dirty minds can see their point. But c’mon—Cobb has had the license plate for 12 years without a problem.
“I was tickled to death I had two little girls. My favorite color is pink,” she told WVEC TV. “So I did a license plate, just like many other people do, to let everybody know I was the proud mom of two beautiful little girls that I love to dress in pink.”
“Language is a living being, you know, it's difficult. A message may mean one thing to one person and something else to another person,” said DMV spokeswoman Melanie Stokes.
Cobb is appealing the DMV’s decision to recall her license plates and says she’s thought about applying for a new plate: “DMV SUX.”
