Ella is a double-ended dildo by LELO. It is meant to be used to stimulate the G-spot and is angled and designed to do so on just about any type of anatomy. It can't be safely inserted for anal play,as there is no flared base or a grip to hold on to, but can be used externally to stimulate the anus. It could also be used, in that way, to stimulate the clitoris or nipple area, though internal will yield the best results.

The toy is made of phthalate-free silicone, which is one of the safest materials on the market. It rates a 10 out of 10 on Eden's safety scale, as it can be sterilized and is non-porous. It is a great material which not only provides that added safety but also feels wonderful on the skin. Since it can be sterilized, you do not need to worry about using condoms if you plan to share this with a partner. Water-based lubricants would be the best to use with this toy.

Ella is 7" long, about 5.5" of that can be inserted. She is about 4" around at the thickest point and has a bit of a curve. This is not a heavy toy, but she definitely can get the job done. The best end to use for specific g-spot stimulation is the end with the curve to it, which is slightly wider. The other end simulates a more traditional dildo. Both ends provide different sensations, but combined are made to provide incredible stimulation and a one-of-a-kind sensation.

Ella comes in 3 colors. Black, white or rose. Each is easy on the eyes and they are all simple yet attractive. The toy comes with a silk-looking drawstring pouch and is packaged beautifully. The box is shaped specifically for the toy and includes all of the important instructions in a box that you would expect to come with a much more expensive toy. While the pouch that the toy comes with looks nice, it is very thin and doesn't do much to protect the toy should it be dropped, so it may be safer inside of the box, as long as keeping it hidden is not an issue. The box is somewhat larger than the toy and not discreet, so of course wandering eyes would know what is inside. With the pouch, it could simply be kept in a sock drawer.

Because there is no motor and no moving parts, the Ella is perfectly safe for play in the tub, shower or any other place where a waterproof toy might be used. It is somewhat slippery when wet, but won't slide out of your hand like a plastic or glass toy might, because of the silicone material. The material does provide some drag against the skin, which allows for a more firm grip as well.

While I am typically a fan of vibrating toys, I wanted to see what it was like to use a non-vibrating silicone toy. In comparison to glass, Ella was a new experience and while I do love this toy, I think I still prefer glass toys. It certainly was a great choice, though, especially for my first toy of this type. I have absolutely no regrets in choosing it, and managed to enjoy it thoroughly. I even suggested that my friend, who loves silicone toys, give it a try and she too enjoyed it.
