The formula resembles something like a medium viscosity hair gel. It's not runny like most water-based lubes can be, but it's not super thick, either. It doesn't run or drip all over everything when dispensed out of the click-top bottle. It's not going to go running all down your hands, toys, or naughty bits. It's easy to apply right where you need it, and stays put through all the action.

What I love about it is that is stays wet when it's inside something, but when it's not, it disappears without leaving a trace of an icky sticky feeling behind. It's not greasy in the slightest and is only slightly velvety. The texture is very slick and smooth, but it offers a great coating action so it will actually go all the way in there without bunching up at your entrances.

This lube is amazing for anal play, but may be a little thick for some people's tastes when used vaginally.

This lube has only the slightest, tiniest bit of a botanical fragrance, but that's because it comes from plants! It's not something you notice unless you have the bottle up to your nose and sniff really, really hard. There aren't any added fragrances in there, either!

Now, I don't normally go tasting things that aren't food, but because this is all-natural, I felt like it wouldn't be a bad idea. It has a very slight flavor, but not one I'd want to eat all the time. Unlike most other lubes on the market, it doesn't taste like a mouth full of chemicals. The taste is hard to describe because it's really not even there. It's not sweet. It's not bitter. It's not sour. It's not really anything at all.

If you're like me, you go for a handful of lube every time you're planning on sticking something in your butt. That's the right thing to do, right? Well, with this one, you don't really need a whole bunch because the formula is pretty thick. I ended up with a lot more than I actually needed the first couple of times. With this stuff, a nickle to quarter-sized amount should be the most you'll need at once. The bottle is 4.2 oz, so it should last you quite a long time.

When playing with some non-porous toys (that are wonderful because they don't absorb lube), this stuff lasted for about 20 minutes. If you're doing skin-to-skin internal play, it may last a little less than that. External play may need reapplication. After I used my first toy and switched to my second (metal) toy, I didn't even need to reapply because it was still that slick. Now that's quality!

Like I stated earlier, this isn't the longest lasting lube on the market, but for me, it's the best choice because of my sensitivity to other lubes. I loved the feel of the Maximus and it did last a little longer than other lubes when my lover used it for his toys, but it burned the hell out of my butt for some reason. This does not and still has the lovely thick viscosity that I loved about the Maximus. I also have the luxury of knowing that my butt is not full of chemicals.

Washing this stuff off is a total breeze. A wipe with a toy wipe or wet cloth, or a little water and it's gone with no residue left behind. I didn't even feel like I needed to wash it off even though it was all over my hands and everywhere else the first few times.

Sliquid has some awesome packaging. I love that this has a very classy look to it and doesn't scream sex all over it. The bottle seems like something an educated consumer would have, and that's what I'd like to think I am. It doesn't have any statements about use or any references to genitals on it.

The container doesn't leak at all and I've stored it sideways and upside-down for long periods of time. It's something you can throw in your bag without worrying about getting lube all of your other stuff.
