Lessons Learned

For a toy in this price range, you could do worse than the Crystal Jellies Ballsy - which isn't made of Jelly, it's made of Sil-a-Gel, a kind of PVC. The shape is great, but the material isn't very high quality. Bottom line: It's not bad, but it's not great, either.

Use

The Crystal Jellies royal can be used in a lot of different ways. In a harness, solo in bed, stuck to a wall, with a partner. This versatility makes for a pretty good first impression of a pretty substantial dong. At 9" long - about seven of those insertable, this is the big leagues. It's pretty thick, too, so it gives a good sensation of fullness when used.

Material / Texture

The "Sil-a-Gel" material they use is harder and not as floppy as the Jelly, to the point where this toy may be too hard for some, in combination with its relatively large size. I was a little surprised at HOW nonfloppy this toy was, but overall it wasn't too bad.

The Sil-a-Gel/PVC material out of which the Crystal Jellies Royal is made has less of that lingering odor and to be honest, irritates my skin but not as much as the jelly, so I'm not as concerned about it here.

Remember to make sure to keep your porous toys covered with a condom while in use - it prevents the spread of bacteria, as well as makes cleanup easier and gives you less chances of your skin being irritated by the chemical compounds that make up that type of toy.

Design / Shape / Size

At 9" long overall with over 7" of insertable length, this realistic looking dong is a pretty big toy. At almost two inches in diameter it has the girth to match the length - so this isn't for a beginner. It has a suction cup base so you can get freaky in the shower, on your coffee table, on the tile floor, or wherever else you can think of. Additionally, am told that it works well in a harness, if that's what you're into.

For a realistic dildo, I like the design - it's got a nicely shaped dong with a pair of sculpted balls to match and offset it. It's realistic without being HYPERrealistic, given the etherial colouring. A good choice perhaps if you are looking to transition from nonrealistic dongs to realistic ones, or you want to try one out but don't want something that looks like a real-life-honest-to-buddha penis.

Performance

It does what it does and it does it well. Not descriptive enough? This dildo, despite its flaws, is a pretty good dong. The suction cup makes it versatle and though I don't like to use my toys in the shower, I found plenty of other things to suction it to. Its rigidity, I've heard, is a turn-off for some but I enjoyed the only slightly forgiving Sil-a-Gel to the standard Jelly, for thrusting needs. It didn't flop around and mess my rhythm.

I found it to be comfortable after a bit of trying - gotta take it slow when you're dealing with a big rigid toy like this one. But it felt pretty good, did the job with no complaints and the suctionc up base and bals gave me something to hold on to. Always a plus.

Care and Maintenance

As with all porous Jelly/PVC toys, you MUST wash them by hand with soap and water (I prefer Dr Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap or Dial Antibacterial) and keep them separate from other toys - a plastic bag is ideal. Please make sure not to share Jelly or PVC toys with others if you have not used a condom with them - their porous nature can harbor all sorts of nasties. Using a condom is advised.

    • Easy to clean
    • High maintenance
Follow-up commentary
This toy did not last me more than two months before it sort of shriveled away. I'd thought that since the texture was firmer that perhaps it would be more stable than the truly wiggly jellies, but no. The structure of the toy became weak, cracks began to form, and it was gotten rid of.
