Dona body mist lotion - body moisturizer by System JO - review by Mamastoys

A Very Berry Good Time!

This is an awesome body mist/lotion. The smell is wonderful and long lasting. There is no sticky residue after it is applied. It can be used as an all day body spray or reserved for those intimate times with your significant other.
Awesome, long lasting smell, large bottle.
Mist lotion is a little misleading but otherwise, no problems.

extremely useful review

The body mist lotion spray by Dona is a wonderful spray. It comes in many fragrances including Gojo berry, which is the one I ordered, Mangosteen, Camu Camu, Acai, Pomegranate, and Blue Lotus. The bottle arrives wrapped in plastic wrap. the 9 ounce bottle has a top cover that easily pops off and reveals a typical spray bottle pump.

When misting the lotion, it comes out like any good body mist and produces a sweet smell. The lotion can be rubbed into the skin very easily or allowed to dry on contact. The bottle boldly states "Spray radiance all over your body." It can be used any time of the day or night, in small or large quantities, on any part of your body that you would spray any other body stray over.

The bottle also claims that it is a light and transparent moisturizing mist, superfruit and aphrodisiac-infused. It is light and transparent and does produce a wonderful smell. This product is paraben free, cruelty free, natural, and free of petroluem. It contains natural seed oils, aphrodisiac ingredients, and fragrances. If you have sensitive skin or if you are worried about a reaction, try this on a small area and see how it feels and if there is any reaction before misting your entire body.

Unfortunately, my hubby can not smell anything so the aphrodisiac effect is lost on him. However, I love the smell and love having him use it as a massaging oil. I'm not sure if it is the smell or the massage but I can get "in the mood" every time he uses it on me.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lotion has a texture of a fine mist as it is sprayed onto the skin. It is easily rubbed into the skin or it does fine to let it air dry on your skin. If it is rubbed in, it goes on like a lotion and I've not found it to leave a sticky residue.

The cover lid is easy to remove and the spray bottle is easy to spray. The bottle doesn't leak and this would make it travel friendly. the bottle itself is plastic but is a sturdy plastic that doesn't cave in or bend easily.

The Dona Mist Lotion has the following ingredients: Purified Water, Caprylic Capric Glycerides, Polyglycerol-6 Dioleate, Glyceryl Caprylate Caprate, Propanediol, Saccharide Isomerate, Passion Fruit (Passiflora Edulis) Seed Oil, Rice Bran (Oriza Sativa) Oil, Açaí (Euterpe Oleracea) pulp Oil, Babassu (Orbignya Oleifera) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Fruit, and Fragrance. Because this mist has glycerides and gylceryl, care should be given if you are super sensitive or get vaginal infections easily.

Taste / Aroma

The smell is awesome. Some people may think the smell is too strong initially but I have found the initial intensity to fade quickly to a more user friendly level. On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being no smell and 5 being super strong, I would say when you initially spray this on it is about a 4 but after a few moments it drops to a two. Just enough to get a gentle whiff of it periodically.

The smell for the goji berry is a fresh springy smell. I can't smell any one substance in it but over it is a pleasant smell. It is very comparable to sprays I get at Bath and Body Works.

I tasted the mist just so I could give the information on this review. It does have a taste and while it isn't gagging nasty, it is not one that I would want to taste again. Again, my hubby has no taste either so it won't bother him if I have the spray on me. I don't think I have to worry about him putting it on himself so I am fine there.
    • Light taste
    • Smells good

I have sprayed this mist on my arms and wrists several times after getting out of the shower. My hubby has used it several times to give me a back massage and the bottle is still almost full. Several sprays of the mist covers a large area and it doesn't need to be reapplied. I wash it off the next time I get in the shower and it doesn't leave any residue.

The best part of the mist lotion is the smell. It is so light and springy and a "make you feel good" type of spray. As I've said before, it may be a little too strong for some people, especially if you have allergies to colognes and body sprays.

The worse part about it is the name. When I see mist lotion, I tend to think of a thicker, more lotiony consistence. While the consistency is fine, the name is just a little misleading, at least to me. Other than that, I have no complaints or any negative remarks to make about it.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Long lasting

Personal comments

I really like this mist and will probably be ordering some of the different fragrances. I love fruity smells and I think several of the other will produce a more fruity smell than this one.

My initial reaction was "wow, that is strong!" But, after making that initial spray, I quickly fell in love with this. I have worn it all day sometimes and on other days, I save it to get a back massage with. I wasn't sure about how well it would work for a massage but I was pleasantly surprised. While it didn't feel like lotion being rubbed in, it still produced a nice massage.
Follow-up commentary
I continue to love this mist!!! Even though hubby can't smell it, I do and I truly enjoy it! We have used it for massages and I have used it just like body spray. I have had comments from outside people telling me how good it smelled. I will probably try some of the other fragrances when this one gets used up.
