The Shunga massage candle is defiantly a great multi-purpose massage candle. Without even burning the candle the wax can be used as lotion or a creamy perfume. Once you burn the candle the wax turns into a warm massage oil or lotion.

I personally think the best way to use this candle is to light it during a shower or romantic bath and use the oil afterwards for a partner massage. This candle also works great for anyone and everyone. I have sensitive skin and I had no reaction or problems with the wax.

I wouldn't suggest using this as any type of internal lube. It features way too many ingredients that could cause a reaction in such a sensitive area. As all candles the flame creates light and a nice aroma but I wouldn't waste this candle for that purpose. You are buying quiet a bit for the candle so use it for its purpose so you don’t waste the wax.

Before even burning the candle the wax is soft and creamy and can easily be rubbed into your skin as a lotion. After you burn the candle the wax is liquefied and slick but when melted wax hits your skin it stays in place. Melting happens right away but to have enough wax for your message you should wait around 15 minutes. When pouring out the wax it flows out very easy.

Even though the melted wax is slick and liquefied once the wax is rubbed into the skin it absorbs nicely and feels like your skin is naturally moisturized. There is no greasing feeling. Your skin and body just feel so relaxed.

The smell of the fruit scented candle is amazing. I swear if I could eat it I would. Even though the scent is fruity it is not to sweet. The aroma is strong but not overbearing. The scent immediately fills up any room. When the wax is applied to skin the scent can last up to 12 hours. Even though the you can wash your skin to remove the scent it can still be lightly smelt.

The aroma of the fruit scent reminds me of Trident layers, wild strawberry and tangy citrus. YUMMY!! I told you I wanted to eat the candle if I could.

On the jar it states the candle burns up to 45 hours. After about 20 minutes of burning time the wax melted is enough to massage 2 grown people.

When used on skin the wax is not greasy or slick. It absorbs nicely into your skin, leaves it warm and moisturizer. The scent of the wax last up to 12 hours. You really can't wash this wash off your skin because it absorbs so much. The scent can be washed off slightly but you will still smell the scent lightly.

What I love most about this product is the scent and how well it moisturizes your skin. I swear the wax works better then most lotions.

My candle came in a plastic bag with a simple knot on top. Inside the clear plastic bag was a black tin with Japanese erotic art on it. There was a plastic seal around the lid with a perforated tear tab. Once you opened the jar there was a little white plastic spoon used for getting the wax from the candle to skin.

The instructions on how to use the candle are printed on the side of the jar.

The erotic art on the candle doesn't make this candle discreet but this jar can easily be traveled with. If gifted the candle can be easily placed in a gift-bag.

After you are completely done with the candle you can use the jar to store any small objects.

Shunga is the Japanese term "picture of spring". Spring is basically sex in Japanese culture. All in all this product name matches the meaning of everything it portrays. With Japanese erotic art located on the candle jar this candle defiantly lends itself to a sexual use. I mean everything about this candle can lead to sex.

We burnt this candle while taking our nightly shower. By the time we got out, 25 minutes later there was enough wax to massage both of our bodies. Before using the wax we blew out the candle and the wax stayed liquified for about 15 minutes. The scent is amazing and when morning came I could still smell the fresh fruity scent still on his skin and my hands. The wax didn't make your skin oily or greasy.

I rated this massage candle a 5 because the product is amazing. This is my first massage candle but I will also keep this scent on hand. Another reason I will keep this candle in my house is because I have psoriasis and the wax actually helps out a great deal. Almost works better then my actual medicine.
