Gel-in

This is a good vegan option for a water based lube. The gel consistency is nice because it stays where you put it, but it also doesn't get slick enough for me. I use this with silicone toys a lot, and it doesn't cut down on drag enough for me. It also didn't cause any allergic reactions which is nice because I seem to be allergic to the world. It leaves behind a small residue, but it washes off easily with a little water or wipe. Overall, it isn't my favorite lube but is one I would buy again.

Use

This is a nice basic water based lube. I picked it up because I have a lot of allergies, and my normal lube was out of stock. I was pleasantly surprised with this, but it didn't quite compare to my current favorite. The ingredients are all natural, but there may be substances that are allergy concerns for some, like citrus, so I suggest reading the ingredients before purchasing.

I use this predominately with my silicone toys, but it is also great with sex and male masturbation. It is water based, so it isn't going to hold up in aquatic environments as well as silicone based lubricants will.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This was completely new for me. I had never had a lube that had a gel consistency before. This feels a lot like hair gel to me. When you rub it, it foams up a little. It is slick, but it is also a but velvety. It isn't as slick as my Bedroom Kandi lube which I honestly prefer. This just doesn't cut down on the drag that I get from some of my toys enough.

The plus side of the gel is that this doesn't slide everywhere like a lot of other lubes. It stays where you put it which is really cool.

Taste / Aroma

Taste:
This has a very slightly bitter taste. It's almost unnoticeable, but it is still there. I don't appreciate this because my partners and I switch between toy use, sex, and oral a lot. Something with a bad taste is not what we are looking for.

Smell:
This has a very mild botanical smell to it which is unsurprising considering the ingredients list. I am not a huge fan of botanical scents, but this doesn't bother me at all. I can only smell it when it is with in a few inches of my nose.

Performance

This feels natural when used with an insertable (either human or toy) to both me and my partners which is a very nice aspect to me, but in the end, it just doesn't help lubricate enough for me. I mainly need lubes for use with my silicone toys to help cut down drag. This lubricant just can't cut it. Using more helps some, but it just doesn't help enough.

Reapplying more helps. It dissipates a bit fast compared to other lubes I have used, but it isn't the worst. It obviously absorbs much more quickly when it is rubbed more which is true of almost every lube on the planet.

I don't like that this leaves a residue. Water based lubes shouldn't have a residue supposedly even if most of them seem to, but one that is this pricey really shouldn't. It washes or wipes off easily, but I am still grumpy about it.

I like this well enough with my toys or partner for vaginal play, but I would never use it for anal play of any kind because it isn't slick enough.

Packaging

This was shipped in a plastic bag so that, if it did spill, it wouldn't leak all over the other items in my order. Eden ships all products that can spill like this which I really appreciate. The package for the lube itself is moderately discreet. It doesn't scream SEX LUBRICANT, but it does state that it is a lubricating gel. No where on the packaging does it state that it is for sex or for sex organs. It alludes to it, but never states it. There are no pictures on it at all.

The bottle has a push top lid that can operated with one hand and doesn't leak. The bottle needs to be squeezed for the lube to come out because it is so thick.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Does not leak
    • Very informative packaging

Personal comments

This is overall a good lube, but I have a few complaints about it. I much prefer the Bedroom Kandi lube, but don't regret buying this when it was out of stock. I just wish it was a bit slicker and didn't have the bitter taste.
Follow-up commentary
This still isn't my absolute favorite water based lube, but I don't mind using it at all. It still works really well, and we have used half of it already.

Thanks for the review, need to try this some time. Though to be honest, that Bedroom Kandi lube is just the Sliquid Organics Natural with a different label (which is just a thinner version of this).
