Just Like the Real Thing

If you've ever had a bad lube experience...get Sliquid. This is the lube of my dreams, and I don't even have to buy a bigger bottle because the 4.2 fl oz is pretty sizeable (though I will, because I love Sliquid Organic that much)! It's fairly thick for a water-based lube, stays in place, non-sticky and has no smell or taste. Honestly, if I did a blind feel test for natural female lubrication and Sliquid, I don't know that I could tell the difference.

Use

This is such a fantastic lube, it's been an eye-opener. Truly this is an everyone lube: men and women alike will love it for solo time; couples can use it together for vaginal or anal play; Sliquid Organics is safe for those with allergies and sensitive skin; and last but not least, water-based means that it can be used with any kind of toy and is condom-safe.

Ingredients
None of Sliquid's ingredients irritated me and none raise any red flags when I searched for them.
Sliquid contains cellulose and guar for texture.
Vitamin E and Aloe barbadensis extract are for skin conditioning.
Botanical extracts include hibiscus, flax, green tea and sunflower seed as well as citrus fruit extract.

What about Phenoxyethanol? Phenoxyethanol is actually a bactericide and is used in many sunscreens and skin cosmetics. Bactericides are generally considered gentle disinfectants because they harm only bacteria.

I bought Sliquid Organics due to burning sensations that I felt while using lubes with parabens and glycerin. This product exceeded all my expectations! It feels just like natural female lubrication! Who could ask for more? Anyone with similar experiences will definitely enjoy this lube.

While this is water-based, I found that this lube takes a decent amount of scrubbing, even under warm, running water to actually get it off -- so, potentially, Sliquid could even be used near water without fear of being washed away (but probably not while immersed). On the other hand, it also doesn't feel unpleasantly sticky and wiping it away with a moist towelette feels like all the necessary clean-up because it seems to almost 'blend it' with the way I naturally feel.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Sliquid sticks, but it's not sticky. It's a gel with a good thickness to it. It even comes out of the bottle slightly rectangular, because the opening is a rectangle. Rubbing it between your fingers is easy without being frictionless. Once it's rubbed in, it doesn't even feel very residue-y.

I compared Sliquid Organics to Wet!, a lube that I find acceptable if there's nothing else around. However, for comparative discussion, I found that I had to re-apply Wet! frequently, found that it felt sticky and slightly uncomfortable after use and it felt thin in general. Sliquid is nothing like that! Honestly, when I touch Sliquid to myself, once it warms to body temperature, I can no longer tell it apart from the feeling of my natural lubrication. Really!

In pictures, the difference is astonishing between what I'd call an average water-based lube and Sliquid:

I suppose the bottle is both a pro and a con: it's a thick, sturdy bottle that would stand up well to accidents, like being dropped; however, it does take a little bit of squeezing on the rigid sides to get the gel out. No biggie in my book, though.

Taste / Aroma

I could detect a scent from Sliquid only when I first broke the seal and the bottle was really full -- it was incredibly faint, but kind of herby-pine. Rather pleasant, not at all artificial or cloying. When just a dollop is being used, you can't smell Sliquid at all. I would totally advocate that it smells like nothing. There's absolutely no smell and even no taste. My partner and I used it during intercourse with some oral (not extensively, though) and it was amazing! There's nothing to distract you while you're trying to get down to business or tease someone.

Performance

I am so pleased that Sliquid actually lasts -- it lasts much longer than any other water-based lube I've used.

I did a sink test, in which I placed a dime-sized dollop between my first two fingers and thumb and rubbed them together under warm, running water from the tap. Not only did it keep its consistency under running water, it took upwards of 15 seconds of rubbing and washing away before it felt like it was coming off my fingers. Not bad for a water-based lube!

Luckily, it also comes off fairly clean. More vigorous washing in the sink got it off my hands with no residue or plasticky feelings.

During a real performance, I used it for some of my glass toys. It was indistinguishable from my fluids during clean up (soap and water) and came off just as easily. On myself, I really couldn't feel it. I didn't have to shower or clean up extensively. I was comfortable afterwards, with no feelings of burning or stickiness that other lubes have given me. I couldn't ask for a better product -- if I had simply looked down and asked my body to make a little more wetness, the result would be exactly the same! This is the best supplement and complement to female lubrication.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty cute -- it has some flowery script and prose about the lotus flower and female sexual organs. It has its claims on the back, none of which I have any problems with. The bottle is fairly small and like I said, pretty sturdy, which would make it good for traveling.

Text on the back reads: "Natural ingredients & organic botanicals; Water-based and water-soluble; hypoallergenic and non-staining; Latex, rubber and plastic friendly; 100% vegan and NO animal testing; Proudly formulated & produced in the USA"

Follow-up commentary
I wish there was an 'I love it more' option. This is my go-to lube and I'm getting more. Even my boyfriend loves it -- we use it together and separately.

From his point of view, he loves Sliquid Organics because it's lasts so long and feels comfortable on his skin. He says it's 'efficient' and easy to wash off. When he's by himself, it says that it doesn't distract with smell or need for re-application like other products do.

For me, I've come to love this on silicone toys that seem like they suck up lube -- not only will Sliquid stay in place, it lasts longer even in those conditions than other lubes. And on glass? Woof!
