Fantastic Functions

If you need a simple bullet with lots of vibration patterns, the Impulse is great. But if you need something discreet or a toy that will knock your socks off with power, look elsewhere.

Use

This is pretty clearly and strictly a clitoral vibrator. It would likely work best for women who enjoy a variety of change and patterns in their clitoral vibrations. The cord has a good amount length, which makes solo use easier and would allow for couples use as well. The Impulse is very quiet, so it would be easy to be used in a shared living situation. It definitely looks like a bullet, but the small size and smooth plastic allow for easy travel.

Material / Texture

The Impulse is made from hard plastic, which allows it to be cleaned very easily and makes it body safe. This toy is not waterproof, so it cannot be boiled for sharing, but it is also non-porous. It had no smell or taste upon first opening. The plastic is smooth and hard, so if you prefer nubbed textures or soft materials on your clitoral vibrators, this would not be the choice for you.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Impulse is nothing special and overall, your average bullet. The purple color is a nice and uncommon shade in toys, and the size of both the bullet and remote are also average. The external nature of this bullet makes it great for beginners and advanced users alike. No matter your previous and current experience and collection, you will be able to enjoy all of the functions that the Impulse has to offer.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions on the Impulse are the biggest highlight of the toy. The vibrations move throughout the bullet and don't seem to be concentrated in any particular area. My biggest complaint about the Impulse is the strength of the vibrations. I generally find myself keeping it on the highest power possible, and I find that anything below about a 7 isn't stimulating enough for me. This bullet did not blow me away in its vraw vroom power, but I still regularly use this toy because of the variety of functions and simple design.

Care and Maintenance

In my own experience, I rinse the bullet portion if the Impulse before and after use, or use a toy cleaning wipe on it. I do not ever wet the cord portion of the toy simple out of carefulness, but I'm not positive if it is or isn't water resistant. Since it is non-porous hard plastic, there is a low chance of any bacterial growth. The hard plastic also allows for use with silicone, oil, and water based lubricants.

Follow-up commentary I still like it 8 months after original review

I do not use this vibe as much as I thought that I would, but it is still the one I reach for when I am craving varrying speeds and functions. It's a solid piece of equipment.

I do have to note that I had to change the way I store this vibe. I keep all of my toys in one container, and I have to store this bullet with the batteries taken out of it, because I have had other objects knock into it and turn it on accidentally.
