My partner and I were in the market for a good massager, and I think we have found the perfect solution for our aching backs! The Fairy Mini weighs in at just one pound and measures a little under 10 inches long, making it a lot more manageable than many other wand-style massagers. Both my partner and I suffer from wrist strain, so I was happy to find a more compact option that still offered plenty of power. It's good for massaging sore muscles and external genital stimulation; however, I found it to be a bit overwhelming, and it almost caused me to go numb toward the end of our session. The vibrations from the Fairy Mini are very strong and cover a large area, so if you're looking for pinpoint stimulation, this toy can't really provide it all on its own. I have yet to try any attachments with my Fairy Mini, but I suspect having a silicone cover over the toy would dampen the vibrations a bit and help focus them more where they're needed.

The handle of the Fairy Mini is made of odorless, smooth, hard, white plastic with a cute, pink grip. The head of the toy is also made of hard, white, plastic that has a matte finish and a flexible neck, which makes it great for moving around during use. There is no added texture to this toy, however there are several attachments that you can buy to attach to it that can provide various textures, if desired. While plastic is a non-porous material, because of the grooves on the head of the toy and all the little spaces bodily fluids could slip into, I would strongly recommend using a removable silicone attachment and/or a condom with this toy if you plan to use it for genital stimulation.

I really like the design of the Fairy Mini; it's small enough that it's easy to handle, but still very solidly built and powerful. The pink and white colors are cute and cheerful, and help make the toy less intimidating. It can be used by anyone and doesn't even have to be used for genital stimulation if you choose not to or if it's too powerful for you. It's pretty obvious that it's a wand massager, however you could simply pass it off as a "back massager" if anyone happens to spot it. Since it includes a storage pouch, it would be easy enough to slip it into your suitcase for a weekend vacation. You might have trouble hiding the noise of it from the people in the next hotel room though, which is something that I will cover below.

The vibrations of the Fairy Mini are focused solely in the head and barely travel to the handle at all, even on the highest setting, preventing your fingers from going numb and wasting all of that power. The speed is controlled by an easy-to-use dial in the middle of the toy, which is a great feature and a nice change from wand massagers that only offer two or three speeds. With the Fairy Mini, you can dial to whatever speed you're most comfortable with, all the way from a gentle rumble to the highest setting, which is so powerful it's almost a little intimidating! It is best used for massaging sore muscles and external stimulation. With one of its optional attachments, it can also be used internally--however, the head and handle of the toy itself should never be inserted into the body due to safety concerns.

This toy is not without its drawbacks--like any other wand massager, it is loud, and I mean LOUD. It reminds me of a power tool, especially at the higher settings. I did not have any problems with it overheating during use, although, since this toy plugs into the wall, that might be something to watch for. Speaking of plugs, the cord on the Fairy Mini is very short so you'll definitely want to get out an extension cord unless you want to sit up against the wall while using it. Because it is an electrical appliance, the Fairy Mini should never be used in or around water to avoid the risk of electric shock.

The Fairy Mini can be cleaned by wiping it down with a damp, soapy, cloth, and rinsed and dried carefully. Care should be taken not to get water or lubricants down into the crevices of the machine. It is made of plastic, which is nonporous, but it cannot be sterilized by boiling or in the dishwasher due to the design of the toy and the fact that it is an electric appliance. It can be stored in the included pink, drawstring pouch, and, due to its size, it should fit nicely into most toy boxes and drawers. Even though it takes more care to clean than most of my other toys, I wouldn't call it difficult to care for. A plus of this toy is that it can be used with any lubricant you choose--if you use a silicone attachment with your Fairy Mini, only use water-based lubricants.

The Fairy Mini comes in a cute, pink, box with the toy's name in purple lettering, and includes a storage pouch in which to keep your toy. I think it would make a nice gift, and it could certainly be stored inside its original box as well, if desired. One drawback is that the Fairy Mini does not come with a user's manual--even though the toy is simple enough to figure out, a booklet explaining proper use and safety warnings would have been nice to have.
