The Cutest Fairy I've Ever Seen

This is a great toy for general massage and for those who need extremely powerful vibrations. The vibrations might be a little too buzzy for some people. While it looks cute, it might be a bit intimidating due to its sheer power.

Use

The Fairy Mini is a cute and compact wand style vibrator and massager. It can be used for general massage as well as a sex toy. It can be used all over the body by both men and women if they don't mind the feminine look to the toy. The Fairy Mini should only be used externally and should not be inserted. It is very powerful and might be intimidating to some users because of this. It is versitile and can work in a number of different situations such as at a play party, in the living room or in the bedroom. Just be sure to keep your Fairy Mini away from water!

Material / Texture

The Fairy mini is made of a velvety plastic. It is white and pink and has a white plastic-coated cord. It is a firm texture without any give to it. Since it is made of plastic it can be used with any type of lube without any reactions from the toy.

There are some ridges on the head of the toy that give it some texture. I didn't find that it added anything pleasurable for me, and I definitely think it might be irritating to some users who are more sensitive to texture. The ridges also make it somewhat annoying to clean.

It is a good idea to cover your Fairy Mini with a condom if you are going to be sharing it with others. Plastic is not sterilizable and it is a good idea to take precautions when sharing toys between partners.

Design / Shape / Size

The Fairy Mini is a wand style vibrator. The handle of the toy remains relatively stationary, while the head of the toy vibrates much more strongly. The neck of the toy is bendable and I would guess that it bends to about 40 degrees. The shape makes it easy to hold and maneuver, but it may be a bit bulky to use for some people especially during couples' use.

The Fairy Mini is 10" long and 1.75" in diameter. It has a cord that is a little less than 5' long, so if you need to plug it in across the room, it might be a good idea to get an extention cord. It is smaller than most wand style vibrators, but is by no means tiny. As you can see the Fairy Mini is quite a bit smaller than the Hitachi Magic Wand.

It can be discreet if you explain that it is a massager used for a sore neck or the like. Since it is rather large it may be harder to hide away than some other toys.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The control is a wheel, which you can scroll up and down to the desired speed. It's very easy to use and simply just turn the wheel until you hear a click to turn it on or off. The vibrations can be pretty buzzy, especially when it is on the higher settings. It gets so buzzy, that at least in me it causes a numbing effect after only a few minutes. The vibrations are very strong, even on the lowest setting. I can't imagine that there is anyone who would find that this toy was too weak for them. People who are more sensitive to vibrations might find that the Fairy Mini is too intense for them.

The Fairy Mini works well as a massager for sore muscles. I find that its smaller head makes it great for massaging sore spots as you can get a more precise application than you can with a larger massager such as the Hitachi. I find that I actually end up using my Fairy Mini for massage much more often than I use it as a sex toy. The toy does tend to get a little bit warm after about 15 minutes of use. It's a good idea to turn it off when it starts to get hot so that you don't overheat and ruin your toy.

It's a pretty loud toy, which is not surprising considering how powerful the toy is. You can hear it through a closed door pretty easily, but you can drown out the noise with music if you need to to be a little bit more discreet.

The Fairy Mini is NOT waterproof and you should make sure to keep it away from water at all times especially when it is plugged in.

Care and Maintenance

When cleaning, it's important to make sure that water doesn't get inside of the toy. If you are very careful you can clean it with soap and water, but I prefer to use a toy wipe so I can be sure I am not getting water inside of the toy. There are a lot of ridges on the head of the toy that can be difficult to clean, so it might be helpful to use a q-tip or something similar to clean it with.

Since it is made of plastic it can be used with any type of lube if desired and should be able to be stored with other types of toys without any problems.

Packaging

The packaging was pretty simple and is recyclable. It came in a pink and white cardboard box with a picture of the wand on it. The packaging was a good fit for the toy and the box was just as cute as the toy itself was. It also comes with a cloth drawstring bag to keep your Fairy Mini in. The packaging is cute enough to use for gift giving and isn't obvious that it would be used for anything other than massaging from the packaging.

Experience

I've had the Fairy Mini for almost a year now. I love its looks, I love how it's more compact than my Hitachi, and I love the controls on it. I don't think it is a bad toy, it's just not as great as my Hitachi. I find that I rarely touch my Fairy Mini other than for massaging my neck once in awhile because I prefer the deeper vibrations that I get from my Hitachi and I find the Fairy Mini to be just a bit buzzy. I loved my Fairy Mini when I first got it, it's just that I found something better.
Follow-up commentary
I've had this over a year now and I still like it. It's not something I can use everyday because its buzzy vibrations make me feel numb after a few minutes. It is fun to pull out once in a while and it's nice to use a wand that is less bulky than a hitachi or other larger sized wand. It's a good buy, but I would still recommend the Hitachi over this.

Wow! Fantastic review! I want this cutie even more now! Lol. I'm very glad to hear about the strong vibes and how well it works for neck massages. This would be a good start for someone who isn't sure if they want to invest in a Hitachi. I think I'll give this baby a try. Lol. Thanks a million for such a useful review!

I love my Wahl (love. adore. cherish.) but I've always wanted a Fairy. The buzzy vibrations, though, are worrying.

Nice review. I'm not too happy to hear about the buzzy vibrations though. I might look for a different massager.

Thank you for the review. I was really hoping to get the fairy mini because it's just so cute and it's smaller to hold. But I have been noticing how much more people prefer the Hitachi, and now I'm understanding why.
