An adorable powerhouse!

The Fairy Mini wand massager is an extremely powerful vibrator disguised in a sweet and feminine-looking package. This is a wonderful toy for solo or partner play- the intense vibrations will provide intense pleasure to ladies who are less sensitive in their lady-parts (you know who you are!). There are no batteries to mess with; just plug it in and it's ready to go whenever you are! The bottom line is that if mine died tomorrow, I would replace it immediately!

Use

Don't let the sugar-sweet looks of the Fairy Mini Wand Massager fool you. This little lady packs a serious punch!

The fairy mini is attractive and fairly discrete for such a large toy, and it can be used in a variety of ways. This type of massager is really only intended for surface stimulation however, and I would strongly recommend against trying to insert this massager. I loved "warming up" with the fairy wand - using it to stimulate my neck, breasts, inner thigh and vulva before (ahem) getting down to business. Although this is my first wand-type vibrator, I imagine that the smaller head of this particular model is an advantage for getting those delicious vibes focused where you want them.

The fairy mini is also great for partner play! Give each other sensual massages to get in the mood, or try using it on your clit while your partner enters from behind for intense pleasure! This is also an area where the smaller size of this massager compared to others is an advantage as it's not difficult or awkward to maneuver.

The attachments available for the toy also make it even more versatile.

Material / Texture

This toy is made from high quality, food-grade plastic that has a slight scent out of the box, but quickly fades. According to the product page, it's phthalates free, latex free, and hypo-allergenic, which is great.

The head of the toy is firm, with an almost velvety matte finish. It has ridges towards the base of the head that can add an element of texture to the vibrations. Below the head of the toy is a flexible neck. The body of the toy is hard plastic and the pink area has an easy-to-grip matte finish similar to the head.

Design / Shape / Size

The mini is attractive and has a very discrete appearance for a toy of it's size. It's 10'' long with a diameter of 1.5'', and with a weight of 1 lb., it feels substantial in the hand.

It plugs in, which I love because there are no batteries to mess with and it's not going to conk out on you in the middle of a session. Being a plug-in also means that it's SUPER powerful! The fairy mini does not mess around!

My only complaint regarding the design of the toy is that the cord could stand to be longer. It's only 4.5', and even though my bed is right next to an outlet, without an extension cord it only makes it to about the middle of the bed. I would definitely recommend an extension cord so you won't accidentally yank the plug out of the wall at the worst possible moment!

Functions / Performance / Controls

While I appreciate the discrete appearance of this toy, the sound is not so discrete! Even at the lowest speed, it could probably be heard through a closed door. At the highest speed it makes a very loud, buzzing, high-pitched sound that could be compared to a drill! If you're going to use it at the highest setting, some background music would be enough to drown out the sound.

The fairy mini is controlled by a dial located in the center of the handle. The dial-a-power is extremely simple to use and allows a very large range of intensity, giving the fairy a distinct advantage over other wands like the hitachi, which only has an option between low and high. It clicks to let you know when you've turned it on or off.

The vibrations are extremely strong throughout the entire head of the cap and can be felt in the handle as well to a lesser extent. I find on the lower settings that the vibrations feel deeper and, to me, are more satisfying while at the higher settings they become very buzzy surface vibrations.

I did find that the toy gets warm fairly quickly, but this didn't pose any problems for me, nor did it ever seem in danger of overheating.

Care and Maintenance

This is not a waterproof or even splash-proof toy so keep it far away from the tub! When cleaning it, you have to be careful not to let water get into places on the toy that it shouldn't go. I simply used a damp washcloth with a little soap to wipe the toy down after use. Toy cleaner would also work, and take care to make sure to clean inside the ridges on the head of the toy.

Since this toy is made of plastic, it is fine to use with water or silicone based lubricant.

The fairy mini comes with a sweet little pink drawstring bag for storage. I found the bag to be a little small for my liking- it was hard to jam the entire cord inside!

Packaging

The fairy mini came in a cute pink box with a picture of the item, sugary pink swirls and sparkles, and lots of Japanese writing. I have no idea if the writing was instructions on how to operate, but thankfully no instructions were really necessary. The packaging does not openly belie the function of the item, so it's fairly discrete and it's cute enough I would feel comfortable giving it as a gift.

Since the toy comes with a matching pink drawstring pouch, there's no reason to hang onto the box for storage. I simply tossed the cardboard box into recycling.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Recyclable
    • Would make a nice gift
