Use

Dona body butter is an aphrodisiac infused, thick, creamy body moisturizer designed to soften your skin and leave you smelling great. The thick texture really helps with tough, dry skin and leaves you feeling moisturized wherever you apply it. Most of the scents are geared toward women, though men could use the products too (they just won't have that "manly" scent). It is safe to use all over, though I don't use it for my face, as I prefer to use something that specifically states it won't clog pores. It's great to use after a bath or shower, or just whenever you're feeling dry. It is free of phthalates, sulfates, triclosan, and parabens free.

Those with skin sensitivities and allergies should look over the ingredients list:
Purified Water, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oil, Caprylic Capric Triglycerides, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Saccharide Isomerate, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cannabis Sativa )hemp) Seed Oil, Beeswax, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Olea Europeae (Olive) Fruit Oil, Passiflora Edulis (Passion Fruit) Seed Oil, Oriza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) pulp Oil, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Maltodextrin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta Glucan, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis leaf Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) seed oil, Laminaria Digitata (Algae) Extract, Theobroma graniflorum (Cupuacu) Butter, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Dona body butter is thicker than a lotion. It's very thick and creamy. It isn't as thick as the body butters I usually use, which are from Bath and Body Works, but it's still a nice, rich texture. It is thicker than the lotion by Dona that comes in the pump-top bottle. It feels smooth and conditioning when rubbing it into your skin. It doesn't feel stick, greasy, or oily. It stays in place until you rub it in. It is easy to scoop out of the jar with your fingers.

Taste / Aroma

Acai is the scent I'm reviewing. I don't know what an Acai berry tastes or smells like, so I can't compare the scent to the real fruit, but I can describe the scent of the lotion as it is to me. It smells very ripe and sweet. It definitely is a berry for sure! The closest thing I can compare it to is raspberry, though not as tart. If you've ever smelled the Sun Ripened Raspberry from Bath and Body Works, it smells sort of like that. It smells strong at first but it does fade out. It smells very refreshing. It smells "berry" sweet and is among my favorite Dona scents.

Performance

I have tried both the lotion and the butter by Dona, and I must say that I prefer the butter over the lotion because it is thicker, creamier and just feels a bit more moisturizing to me. But I'm not a fan of thin lotions, which is sort of what the Dona lotion is. For some reason I just don't feel moisturized unless the lotion/butter is somewhat thick. The body butter left my skin feeling refreshed and re-hydrated. The scent is great! It doesn't cause me to have a headache or send me into a sneezing fit from irritating my allergies. The thick butter really feels great on my feet; I like applying it to my heels after a shower and before bed. My skin feels very soft and conditioned with this butter. It would probably be enough for the average person to use once and be set for the day. For me, I'm one of those lotion obsessed girls that applies it often, especially to my hands. It absorbs well into your skin leaving you feeling super soft. I like that it does this because you aren't left looking like you just rolled around in oil, like what can happen with some moisturizers.

As far as being an aphrodisiac, I didn't notice anything, besides maybe the scent being a little uplifting for your mood or a bit relaxing. It did nothing sexually for me like invoke arousal or anything.

It washes off easily with soap and water if you should decide the scent isn't for you.

Packaging

The label on the jar is pretty and tasteful. The ingredients along with directions are printed on to it. The jar is nice because it allows you to get every last bit of product out, whereas with some bottles, that isn't always possible.
Follow-up commentary
I love this body butter. It makes my skin soft. If you're as scaly as the assholes that run this place, you may want to order a pallet full of this stuff- but from another site!
