Even though the Shunga massage candle could be improved, it is certainly worth purchasing. It isn't the most luxurious massage candle on the market, but it price reflects that. It is an affordable way to add ambiance to a massage, the warm oil feels light and smooth on your skin, and leaves your skin with a luscious glow without an overpowering smell.

If you're looking for a non-messy massage product that leaves your skin soft even after a shower, this candle would be a good pick. If the slickness of a massage oil is your thing, this may not be your perfect match, but I really couldn't imagine this massage candle being a disappointment to anybody. If you already know you love massage candles, I can see this being a favorite. With little mess and a thick consistency, this allows you to give a deep muscle massage to your loved one!

Even though I didn't like the end result, it was still fun to use this candle. I hope to try more in the future, but this candle didn't get me excited to go get another right away. I do recommend trying a product like this because it is unique and very sensual. And if you end up hating it, you will still have 45 hours of amazing smell time.

This is the best massage candle I've tried so far. It has a low melting point, so the wax doesn't get too hot, yet it stays liquid for a good while after it cools. The moisturizing oils leave skin soft, if a tad bit greasy, but there's no waxy residue. This candle has a long burn time, and the packaging is travel-friendly. I just don't like the "Exotic Fruits" scent. It's way too perfumy and smells like bubble gum.

This is a gorgeous little massage candle. While I've had better lavender items, the scent is not too overwhelming. I personally liked how the scent stayed on my hands long after I used it. It's a great way to add some character to a room and moisturize yourself! The oil itself was not too sticky either.

The Shunga massage candle is a good option if you're looking for something to take along on a trip. The scent is light and pleasant, though it may still cause headaches for those with sensitive noses. It's only downside is the greasy residue it leaves behind.

The Shunga massage candle, while a bit waxier than some, makes for a terrific, warm, sweetly scented massage. The wax melts to a nice, thick, oil that glides on the skin and lasts as long as you want to rub, massage and caress. The scent is reminiscent of Juicy Fruit gum, which some may not like; it is fruity and sweet. Any remaining wax/oil that doesn't absorb into the skin is easily washed off and is non staining.
Mostly natural ingredients, non staining, fairly slick and long lasting, no perfumey taste.
A bit waxy, scent may be too sweet for some.

This is my new favorite candle! It smells great and melts into a nice sensual massage oil. Who doesn't love massage or candles? I found this candle to be a perfect addition to a quiet evening alone to just bond with each other and explore. The massage oil was nice and slick, lightly scented and wasn't too waxy. I highly recommend it as a sensual aide!

The idea of this product is really great; a scented candle that melts into massage oil. For that alone, it's pretty cool, but in that respect it doesn't quite live up to anything extraordinary. It is definitely fun and new.

If you are ready to bSatisfied, you would do well to get the bWarm. I can't speak to the other scents, but the Figwood has a masculine scent suitable for use on a man. The oil is perfect for long sensuous massages. The holder is well-designed for both its intended purpose and as regular candle holder. There is nothing not to like about the bWarm.

The Bwarm candle is definitely worth the money, but it is very small. The patchouli rose candle smells amazing and is perfect for setting the mood. And it's even better when used as a massage oil; it leaves a subtle scent on your skin and has amazing softening powers. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a good massage!

This wonderful candle will appeal to both sexes, and enhance any private or play time! It is great for either some intimate time, or a bit of warm play. It's a "cool burning" candle. The wax is warm to touch, but it won't burn the skin when applied. So have fun!

I would recommend this candle more as something you might buy to splurge on yourself or a loved one. It's pretty small, and pricey for the size, but it's still a very high quality candle.

I love everything about the Bwarm massage candle. The ingredients are very good for your skin. The warm wax actually feels creamy, holds up well during a massage and absorbs nicely, leaving behind soft skin and just the right amount of scent. And the soft flexible holder is a great idea, making it easy to pour the wax exactly where you want to without worrying about making any messes.

I just wish it lasted longer, otherwise none.

Overall, this is an acceptable candle for mood lighting with a light vanilla smell. I wouldn't buy this again as it's not that useful for anything other than what I've written above. I'd suggest purchasing a different candle on this site or from other candle retailers.

This candle makes your mouth water if you get the French Vanilla because it will remind you of ice cream. Maybe you will want to incorporate some of that into your bedroom time! Burning for a total of 12 hours, it certainly will last you through a lot of play time!

Having used the French Vanilla and the Champagne Rain scents, I would definitely say that French Vanilla wins my vote. These weren't spectacular candles, but they were nice and I would purchase again.

The romantic candle by Kingman is a fun mini candle with unique wax beads. The Midnight Romance scent is divine, but don't expect the scent to fill an entire room. For the price, this is the perfect little candle!

The Champagne Lights candles is pretty but there was hardly any scent at all. Up close it smells so yummy, like pink vanilla sugar but you literally have to put your nose right by the candle to pick up the scent. It's really weak. It's just a candle without anything really special about it.

This was very disappointing. It is just a plain candle; nothing special about it in my opinion. If you want a candle just for a nice light scent then I would suggest going to your local retail store.

The smell is a very strong and pleasant one. The crystals can fall out easily if candle is not held correctly. It is pink in color if you get the french vanilla scented candle.

I would not recommend this product (apple-cinnamon scent) because it's not worth the money. The scent does not fill a room or even a space, the candle burns too quickly, the wax sand/beads are messy, I did not notice any pheromone activity, and I just did not find this candle to my liking.

I love that this candle gives you the option of being able to mix and match the wax beads to create your own scent. However, I wasn't thrilled that mine smelled like soap. The scent doesn't go far either. The price is good and the burn time and size are decent for the price. Because of this, I'll get more of these, but this candle is nothing to rave about.

These loose wax candles are very lightly scented and come in a beautiful 4 oz. glass jar with beautiful scrolling on them. They have a metal lid that keeps the candle free of dust and lint ensuring clean, nearly smokeless burning. They are 12 hour candles but they are tricky to get to burn evenly. They can make a bubble bath or a romantic evening something special.

All in all, it's a good candle for a newcomer, or someone on a budget. It gets the job done and still makes for a very erotic evening with all the thrills and pleasures of a sensual massage with the bonus of being edible and having candle light. You just have to put up with the slight lack in taste and a slight oily feeling, although the skin is still very smooth. But, you will still have a very very fun experience.

The Sex Kitten Wicked Wax Candle in sex on the beach smells lovely, looks lovely, and makes a wonderful candle for wax play without being too hot. However, it claims to be an edible massage candle. While it is flavored in the sense lip balm is flavored... it's not flavored enough to make licking lots of it pleasant, and it hardens practically on contact with the skin making it fairly useless as a massage candle. Great for some things... not great for what the company says it's great for.

Sex Kitten Wicked Wax is a nicely scented candle that melts to a mediocre quality massage oil. It is flavored and edible, so there is no perfume-like taste to it, but the flavor is very faint and rather waxy. If oral play on the massaged/waxed areas is going to be involved, this would be an excellent choice of product; if you're just looking for a sensual massage, there are better candles out there.

This candle not only works great for a massage oil, but it also helps to set the romantic, relaxing mood for a luxurious experience. These candles have been on my wishlist for so long and I'm so happy with this purchase! I want to buy the rest of them now because I'm curious about the different scents. The candle is lovely and the massage oil is slick and luxurious. It's everything that I hoped it would be and it didn't disappoint. I would highly suggest trying one of these candles!

JimmyJane's Afterglow in Pink Lotus smells amazing: it's delicate and fresh. It might smell a little bit too feminine for a man, but I didn't get any complaints. The wax melts into a smooth, thick massage oil. It allowed me to provide a long massage without getting sticky or drying out. It was perfectly slippery and left a nice, light scent on my skin. I will definitely be purchasing more (many more) of these massage candles.

The Jimmyjane Afterglow candles are a truly outstanding product. They would make great gifts for anyone, and should be in everyone's bedroom. They are useful for ambiance, massage, and just plain making your surroundings nicer. I will be buying and using them as long as Jimmyjane carries them.

JimmyJane's Afterglow massage candle in dark vanilla is pretty awesome. The scent, which can best be described as vanilla and coconut, is unique. The wax melts to a soft, smooth massage oil that doesn't leave skin feeling greasy or heavy. However, as great as this smells, it tastes pretty icky. The spout corner of the candle also drips a little wax when the candle is tilted to pour some out.

The JimmyJane Afterglow in Bourbon is one of my favorite scents. The candle's sort of sweet, with just the right amount of spice. The oil is thick, and can get sticky if you use too much at once, or reapply too often, but is slick and slippery when you find the happy medium. The porcelain holder is adorable. Overall, it's a pretty amazing product.

We found this to be a fantastic addition to our foreplay. It enhanced the mood and offered a unique way to bring some beauty and sensuality to our lovemaking. It is a little bit pricey, but overall, I found it to be a worthwhile investment. Wonderful smelling candle. Lots of product is tucked into this delightful product. This candle is worth it's weight in gold. This would make the perfect special occasion gift. The way it leaves your skin feeling is comparable to a day at the spa, only cheaper! It's a great way to start your next romantic evening with your partner or to pamper yourself after a bath. Not used as lubrication.

I love the feel of the Afterglow candle by JimmyJane. It left my skin very soft and got rid of a lot of the dry skin that I had. The only big issue that I had was with the scent. I didn't like how masculine the bourbon scent was. I would stay away from this if you are allergic to scents because it is very strongly scented.

I love the smell of this candle. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from a bourbon scented candle. I wouldn't say it smells like bourbon, exactly, but it's a sweet, smoky scent that I've grown to love. This candle melts beautifully into a slippery, luxurious massage oil that leaves no waxy residue on your skin.

this item is definitely worth it if you are wanting to set a passionate mood for a nice evening. If you have a small room I suggest leaving the doors open after you are done to let it air out a bit unless you enjoy smelling it for a while. The Suntouched Edible Candle is a great bedroom addition that can be used in both a sexual and a non-sexual way. It smells great, even though the scent is a bit too strong. It's technically edible, but it doesn't taste like anything. It is nice though to be able to kiss/lick areas that this has been used on without having a bad, oily taste. The wax gets nice and warm, but it doesn't get hot. I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

I would totally buy another candle just for the appeal of the tin and smell of it alone. My friends commented on the fruity smell it, and wanted one of their own. This candle makes a great gift for any occassion really, but isn't very ideal for edible massages.

The Sunkissed Edible Candles are an affordable and sweet option for those looking to try a massage candle. The Suntouched Edible Candle is strongly scented but very beautiful. The wax melts easily into a massage oil that is a treat to use. It provides a perfect surface for a deep tissue, or a hot stone massage. It moisturizes the skin and while it doesn't have the best taste in the world the amazing scent more than makes up for this. The scent set the mood for the night, but the flavor was almost entirely lacking in the candle. Additionally, the wax was rather cool, so it may not be suitable for those who are advanced in candle wax play, but it is a good introduction for beginners who can’t take the heat. When burned, it transforms into wonderful massage oil that leaves skin feeling refreshed, without the clump of traditional wax or grease of other oils. It certainly lit up my night.

The Flickering Touch Massage Candle by Lelo was obviously a well meaning foray into a line of sensual personal products. And while it does create a phenomenal skincare product, the flaws in design and lack of fragrance simply don't bring this one up to the standards of other high end massage candles. I think with some redesigning and reformulating, however, they would have a chance at being the best massage candle on the market.

This Candle provides a beautiful clear yellow light, and puddles into a oily, yet nicely usable massage oil. The container is beautiful, decorative and convenient, although lacks a pour spout or applicator and wax may be hard to control. The main problem is uneven burning, "well" production around the wick, and long burning times to create oil for massages. However, the massages from this wax/oil are good quality, moisturize and soften skin and glide well for a superior massage.

No matter the cons to this candle, I recommend this particular scent (Vanilla & Creme de Cacao) to anyone who has a fondness for expensive chocolates or creme brulee. It's deliciousness in a candle. Easy to open and easy to light, it took very little time to both make the room smell pleasant and get down to a melting point that I could work with. I was able to work the wax into massages with no issue, and when the wax hardened, it peeled off with no pain or work. It is an open flame, which is always something to keep in mind, and when spilled it could get messy. Also, the scent will hover in your home for a bit. I am very happy with how it worked for my massaging.

It seems to me that when you pay almost twenty dollars for a scented candle you should have people walking in saying wow that smells good. You should not have to turn off the lights and drag them near it for them to realize it is in the room.
I like the soy candles and the simplicity of the tin.

Bright-burning and long lasting - they aren't very exciting, but the long burn time makes it worth it to throw in a pack with your order.
Long-lasting candles won't die in the middle of your evening. All-natural wax is nice too.

Overall, I was impressed with this candle.. As simple as it may seem, even the smallest improvement in the bedroom can make a big difference on your sex life and make it more romantic.
The smell, mood setting abilities, and look are just great.
It didn't last long enough in my opinion

This is a really nice candle that will fit into any decorating scheme. While it's not my favorite from Illume, it's definitely a nice item.
Soy is a renewable resource. smells great.
kind of plain looking. shorter burn time than many soy candles this size.

Ember special edition
When ordering a massage oil candle, you want something that smells wonderful, pours easily and spreads well. It should allow you to work it into the skin without absorbing too quickly, but also without leaving behind a waxy residue that makes you want to shower. The Jimmyjane Ember Special Edition in Absinthe & Sugar Water lives up to all these standards. My only wish is for a smaller price tag.

Use this wax for a wonderful long lasting massage, use it just to moisturize your skin, or burn the candle just to burn it. While everything about the Ember Special Edition is really awesome, it's probably only worth the extra price tag if you're really into the scent or really want the black container.

With scents that are sophisticated and complex, these candles work well for both massage or to simply scent a room. Ember candles burn for up to 72 hours, melt into a warm, easy to pour pool of wax that spreads well and allows for long, lingering, sensual massaging and caressing. Excellent, as well, to use in the bath! Burn for the scent while you soak, then use the warm oil to soften your skin.
Smells divine, long lasting, burns evenly, heavy oil but not greasy, lid for the holder.
Scent may be a bit too intense for those with sensitive noses.

This candle is a worthwhile investment, even if you don't use it for massages, you can burn it just for the scent, or you can use it to moisturize dry skin. Available in quite a few scents, and made from high quality, spa-grade ingredients, you really can't go wrong here.

I loved the scent of this candle and wonder if I burned it all day if it would make me perpetually horny! While the candle achieved its purpose of becoming a massage oil and worked well, it did take some time for the wax to melt, so regular massage oil is a bit quicker. The candle itself is packaged beautifully, smells lovely, and is excellent for setting the mood!
Fabulous scent, easy to use.

This is a really nice massage candle, but that's no big surprise considering it's from JimmyJane. Smells nice, melts into a great oil and long lasting. A great gift!
Soy burns cleaner and at a lower temp, smells great, leaves skin feeling soft.

This well crafted candle will fill your room with a delicate scent and the massage oil is always the perfect temperature. Superbly moisturizing and silky feeling it begs to be used as your daily moisturizer and not just for "romantic time"
Oil not greasy feeling, the scent is lasting but not overpowering, beautiful and discreet.
The ceramic container may break if dropped, it takes a while to melt enough for a full body massage.

The Ember by JimmyJane is an absolutely fabulous candle in every way. Even if Honey and Vetiver is not for you, it comes in a variety of other scents to please your senses. The smooth, luxurious wax on your or your lover's body is sure to the the cherry on top of any romantic night. I recommend the Ember to anyone who loves candles or massages.

Scent may not be for everyone, wax can cake under finger nails and has a little drag while drying.

Ember, in honeysuckle and clover, smells awesome and feels amazing. It's made of natural, spa-grade ingredients. It's exceptional for massage. It can be used as a moisturizer. It's not overly greasy. The porcelain container is elegantly designed. You don't need to use much at all. Once applied it lasts a while, but when using a small amount as a moisturizer, it absorbs nicely.
Amazing scent, paraffin and lead free, pour spout, lid doubles as heat-resistant tray.
Takes a while to melt, pours really fast.

Illume happiology candles
Lovely candle that is somewhat overpriced for the size. However the quality soy wax and lead free wick will burn cleanly for a long time, probably close to the stated 40 hours. If you prefer a strongly fragranced candle this could be the one for you. However if you are sensitive to strong smells, look elsewhere. The packaging and reusable glass votive make this a good choice for a gift.
Appeals to "green" customers with soy wax and lead free wick, heavy glass quality votive.

The Illume yuzu mint soy candle is one from the Happiology line. Made with 100% natural wax and blended with essential oils, this is a high quality, luxury candle. It contains soy, palm, and beeswax for a clean burn. The wicks are lead free (made from either cotton or paper), the packaging is recyclable, and the hand blown glass that holds the candle is cute and reusable. It burns for 40 hours and smells great!
Pleasant smelling, great packaging, environmentally friendly materials.
Wax burns at high heat, so it’s best to use this as just a fragrance candle.

Quickies are a set of four little candles by the designer brand Illume. These candles are specifically scented to set the mood for passion and sensuality. Placing them in red glass only enhances how seductive this set of candles can be. With an extended burn time and lead free wick, Quickies will probably outlast you!
